    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

We have just finished compiling 18 months of data regarding several types of fungi that seem to be affecting bearded dragons from multiple case studies and written a summary.

In many cases the same fungus was found and what we believe what may be the cause of it.

The link to the article: Yellow Fungus - Possible Cause and Effects

One type still eludes us as it is particularly deadly and although we also found this one in bearded dragons that had previous treatments with medications, that we think are causing the other fungal problems, without credible research on that one we can not say that the catalyst exist in their natural fauna like the other fungi. That one is Chrysosporium anamorph of Nannizziopsis vriesii, but there is a researcher also working with it and hopefully he will have more information soon. From what we are reading in the data, this one appears it may be originating in soil.

Bump.....

I was emailed a few pictures this morning that brought this topic back to my attention.

I think EVERYONE should read this article.

Mike, that article has been update with more info since I first worte it back then.

Fortunately, this disease(s) has declined in the past 2 years now. Although the yeast type not only are easy to clear, now owners can reduce to possibility of their dragons getting it if they administer probiotics when using antibiotics on them.

The one type that is the mold fungus, continues to be very tough to treat. The oral meds available are just so harsh on the dragon's kidneys, they often are causing more damage than cure, so only used if it is felt the dragon will be terminal without them.

There is some promise and decent results coming from using grapefruit Seed extract in cleaning it. info on that can be found on beautifuldragons.com
