    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Well.. I am going to go to South Dakota next week in celebration of my birthday, as well as my 8th wedding anniversary.

Anyone have any recommendations on sites, restaurants etc???

Here is what we have planned thus far:

mount rushmore
bear country
wall drug
murdo car museum
jewel caves
wind caves
deadwood
broken boot gold mine
miners den steakhouse
1880 train ride
Reptile Gardens

quite the variety already.. but let me know if you can think of things to add!! We are staying just south of Rapid City..

you could goto wolsey, sd and check out my work of art that's being installed at nustar energy as we speak. :) there's also another work of art of mine that's in yankton.
 
hmm, pretty much already have everything listed that I could think of, hope you have fun, I plan on heading that way myself for family vacation here in a few weeks
 
The Badlands has to be consided a must see on any trip through SoDak.

If you are into camping, I would also HIGHLY recommend Custer State park.
If you don't camp, I would still recommend at least a couple days there.

Very nice pics Brandi. I was in S. Dakota years ago. We spent most of our time around Rushmore, Wind Cave and Custer State Park. And I had to stop at Wounded Knee cemetery. There was also a very cool woolly mammoth excavation going that they built a building around, but I can't remember exactly where it was.

Love the wolf and bear cub pics.
