I know you may find this hard to believe but this virgin female a 100% het albino mated with my 100% het albino male and had her post ov shed March 27. That is 86 days ago she has not shed since and I figured she just reabsorbed the follicles. However, she looked big and I kept an eye on her and at 2:15 AM she finished laying and gave me five beautiful fully veined fertile eggs, her first clutch! I cannot believe she kept these eggs for that long; if I have it calculated correctly according to my records that is 113 days of egg retention. Does that seem right? Regardless, it is what happen and I am very happy but this cannot be normal can it? I am a bit worried because she lost a lot of weight in these eggs and has not eaten since the beginning of March when she weighed 1693g. She weighs 983g now and that has me very concerned. She seems OK (very active) but very thin. This is only my second season breeding and I do not want to harm any of my animals.
