If you would like to engage me in a conversation via email, you first have to make sure that your email provider is not blocking emails from this site. Or, more likely, labeling emails as spam or bulk mail. If you have your email account set to automatically delete spam or bulk mail, then you will NEVER receive my replies.
Just today I got an email from someone here asking why they cannot reply to classified ads, and as this is the third time they have asked, they would really like a reply. I checked my email outbox, and yes, I replied to BOTH of those previous emails. Well, this guy can send a hundred emails and will still not receive any reply that I send to him. And he probably thinks I am being rude for not replying.
Yahoo is pretty bad about this. But since some Yahoo emails do get through, i assume there is a user setting that some people set and others do not. Honestly, I have toyed with the idea of just simply blocking ALL Yahoo emails in order to solve this particular problem, but quite likely that will block a substantial number of people trying to register here. But there is no real solution other than that which comes to mind.
So, if you have emailed me and not gotten a reply, please check your email provider and make certain you are not just having all replies blocked or deleted. If you can white list email addresses, then please do so for [email protected].
Seriously, if you are not getting my emails, then quite probably you are not getting others as well. Some, you might REALLY regret not receiving if they were prospective customers who felt that you just couldn't be bothered to reply to their queries and they take their business elsewhere.
Spam is a real problem, I agree. But don't make the spam blocking an even WORSE problem for you.
