Hey Viper69, thanks for the feedback. My leaftails main diet is crickets and I've only used the meat baby food as something to put the calcium in to boost their calcium reserves a couple of times. I also have Crested geckos and in books I've read about them it recommends mixing baby food fruit and meat if the CGD is not used and no live prey is given to them. So that's how I got the idea of mixing a tiny bit of baby food with calcium so I could give them extra calcium.
Wow! The size of their eyes, huh? Yeah, mine definitely need a boost. You said you have mossys and henkels? How do you like the mossy's compared to the henkels? It's nice to hear what other people's leaftails are like.
I do use Bone Aid's Microstick Calcium Powder every time I feed, but the calcium doesn't seem to stick to the crickets for more than a day. I think that is because I have a habba mister in their cage to battle the dry, Nevada weather and it is constantly spraying water out over the whole cage. I feed them 2-3 times a week, both my girls are about 10 inches long and have good weight on them but they definitely need more calcium. Do you have any ideas of what I could mix the calcium with and give to them orally?
