In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I purchased an ammie from Will a few weeks ago, and decided that due to the cold weather, I'd pay the extra shipping fee for Delta DASH. I was expecting to pick up the package at the airport on Wednesday (the 16th). Sat there for two hours, and it never arrived. Didn't show up Thursday, either. By Thursday afternoon, Will was already discussing replacement and a claim with Delta if the snake wasn't found. She finally showed up on Friday (today), but is in bad shape. I drove straight from Delta to my reptile vet, who gave her intra-coelimic warmed fluids and antibiotics. Her white count was up, but after two days in who knew what kind of weather, I expected that. She is showing signs of neurologic problems, probably from the cold and dehydration. I will be giving her more fluids tonight and tomorrow (if she makes it) and she'll be getting antibiotics every three days. Will is already looking into a claim for the vet bills through Delta, and has been very helpful and kept in touch through the whole thing, even though it meant multiple long-distance phone calls. Hopefully the snake will pull through, but if she doesn't, I have no doubt Will will make good on the deal. Thanks for all the help, Will!

Here's an update on the situation. I'm not so sure this deal is going to turn out well. The ammie died, as expected, the first night she was here. Will seemed very upset over the whole thing, and called or emailed me every day for a few days, trying to decide what to do next. He eventually got me pics of the dead ammie's siblings, but none of them where what I was looking for. I told him I was also looking for *nice* female cresties, and he said he was getting some in, and would get me pics. After seeing his ad on another site, I emailed him and asked for pics. I eventually did get pictures, and emailed him with what I wanted- the price I was willing to pay for the crestie, and the rest (including half the vet bills) back in cash. This whole thing took a *long* time, and I finally got an email from him almost two weeks ago saying he would send me the cash by paypal this past Monday (the 3rd) and asking what day would be best to ship the gecko. I replied and told him I'd be home on Wednesday. A few days later something came up, so I called him and left a message on his machine, asking that he ship the gecko for Thursday delivery, and send it to my workplace. I never heard anything back, never received any money or animals, and have not heard from him in over a week. I'm not sure if he's got other things going on and has forgotten about me, or if he's avoiding me on purpose, but it sure would be nice to get some kind of reply. At this point I'm so fed up that I really just want my money back, icluding *all* of the vet bills.

I wish I could change the subject line of this post. Will no longer appears to be a good guy. I have not heard from him in almost three weeks, never received a gecko, nor a refund. According to Delta, the claim has been closed, but they cannot tell me the outcome because I did not file it. I have an appointment with a lawyer on Saturday.

I informed you several times, that I would refund your money. As you stated the Delta Case is closed, and your refund is on the way. You not only wanted a crestie for free, to refund all the vet bills. I could not do that whit out knowing what was going on with Delta. I am truly sorry that your amazon died, it was a really nice looking snake.

Will, I'm sorry for these drastic measures. You had agreed to ship me a gecko and paypal me a refund for the remaining refund. You even told me when to expect the gecko and the money. I think this email sums it up. Sorry for the reverse order- the oldest part is at the end.

The snake died.
Don't make the buyer wait.
Refund the money and let Delta reimburse you.

What is the deal with the crestie?

It appears from the email that you said you would ship it and asked for a note when it arrived.

Why didn't you ship when you said you would?

The email says you were shipping the crestie! What's up with that?

It's called lying to a customer but I'm sure he'll call it something completely different. lol
(ie. an excuse)

Are you kidding me?!

Will. Refund your customer you lowlife. She's been waiting since MARCH

Still waiting..... Will says Delta is taking a while to send the check.

Although this might be true it’s not fair to have your client as a “hostage” of this situation. I would assume your TOS (if you do have them in writing) do not say that reimbursements in cases of DOA are contingent upon successful claims with the carrier, am I right? Is there a number to call Delta with a claim number in order to inquiry what’s taking them so long?

Regards.

Why the Hell should that be your problem. HIS animal died within the warranty period. HE promised a refund. HE promised to send an animal as part of that refund.

It is not up to Delta to refund you...it is up to HIM.

Do the right thing here Will. Your rep has taken a major hit here but better late than never.

Well if it was his name he might be worried.

Right Scott

You can't tust a person that even lies about his name, birthdates etc.

LOL

But
I sure would like to know whom I am sending my money to.

What tops this thread off is Shannon started this as a" Good Guy" post in the hopes he would do the right thing.

I think he should go ahead and make restitution to her so this can end.

I called Delta 3 or 4 weeks ago, and was told that the claim was closed, but they could not tell me anything else because I was not the person who filed the claim.

Wow..... Shannon, from the looks of it, it seems he never intended to give you the refund or the crested..... It is a shame stuff like this goes on..... Thats what happens when you give these shaddy, wannabe reptile breeders/dealers, your hard earned cash..... Fortunately, the BOI is here for all to read..... It helps to expose these people for what they truely are......

Honestly, I think the only people to buy from for the most part, are the regulars that are always on the forums giving solid advice and help to create the fauna community.....

These are the people you know actually care about these animals and know what they are doing.....

Alot of the breeders that are regulars on the forums have pics of their breeding stock, pics of their animals hatching and so on..... You know where the animals are coming from and you get to somewhat know the breeders personaly......

Stay clear of the fly by night dealers that are all over these and other classifieds......

Also, always do a BOI search on a person you might be doing buisiness with....
