    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

OK, this is rich. A congressman from Pennsylvania, is proposing a law which would cut the NWS site off at the knees. Keep in mind that the NWS is paid for by our tax dollars, and it's a very good place to get weather info., one of the best. Pilots and sailors use it for life and death information.

Although it costs nothing to view, the cost is automatically included in your federal income tax. We all pay for it.

Why would he want to do that, you might ask.

Well, the reason he wants to do this is because his home state (Penn.), has around a dozen "paid" weather services, and they are lobbying him to shut down the "free" NWS site because it is so good, they can't compete with it, even though we have already bought and paid for it.

I know what I think about this. What do you think?

I find it shocking that there are politicians out there with personal agendas. :uzi:

My opinion on it is, what do you expect? The corrupt are running the country.

Jamie, the corrupt are not running our country, but they sure as hell are giving it their best shot.

We will see how that works out for them. In the meantime, keep thinking. Ritchie

I disagree. Have you been keeping tabs on the current administration? Our often missing, partially illiterate president and his war for oil..uhh..avenging his daddy..uhh WMDs. Yeah, thats it, WMDs.

Please don't take me as a sissy left wing liberal. I am certainly not. I just am disappointed in the direction this country is going.
