Inquiry on Larry Honan from NJ [email protected]

Has anyone done business with Larry Honan from New Jersey? I am thinking about buying a few ball python morphs from him. He seems like a pretty stand up guy. Has anyone have any good or bad experiences with him?

I'm not a fan of Eric Lindros, and in fact, I didn't think anyone other than a man-child could appreciate another man-child to begin with. So leaving out the possibility you've used the number 88 to identify yourself here on fauna as that of a jock riding man-child lover, what would be your other reason?

With respect to your compalint that I sit at home and collect money off of hard working Americans, I cant see how that would effect you if in fact that were the case. The internet is the vehicle by which I make a humble income. Its also real cool when I get to find some schmuck that believes the dust has settled, people have grown stupid, and he can easily squeak his way back in.

To be honest, what I posted of you that was previously written here on fauna, wasn't anything to get upset about. That is the function of this board...people helping people. How could you understand that when your not trying to help but rather scam?

Thanks for the reply guys. I'm glad this all came out before I sent him a good chunk of change. I know I'm gonna get grief for this but here I go anyway. There doesn't appear to be any solid proof of the allegations against him. Has anyone here been scammed by this guy or actually have bought something from him?

Here is the a copy of the email he sent me about his good guy post. I realize this is about 3 years old but maybe Ken can come on to share his experience with Lawrence Honan. How about it Ken?

I've also asked him to send me pictures of him holding the animals and with their original receipt along with other requests to prove if he's legit or not. The animal I wanted to get from him was a 04 Nerd line Lemon pastel male that he said he bought straight from NERD at a show last year.

I'll also be calling NERD to see if they have any records of selling to this guy. I'll keep everyone posted. Thanks all!

Lawrence is my buddy, and I would have to agree. He has some of the highest snake standards around. He does not sell crap! I have some of his pines, and I couldn't be happier with them!

I'll give my vote of confidence to Lawrence as well. Although I have yet to receive my animals from him (100% my fault), I can say that Lawrence is an extraordinarily patient man.

A combination of circumstances have made me appear to be one of the dreaded 'deadbeat buyers'. Last year, I bought a pair of Namib house snakes from Lawrence. Admittedly, there were delays on my part in sending out the funds.

After several attempts by Lwrence to contact me, we were both ready to arrange shipping. Unfortunately, I am now TDY at Sheppard AFB, TX., and won't be returning to Detroit until the end of the month.

I'm typing this response both to give just praise to Lawrence Honan for being the stand-up guy that he is, as well as to publicly apologize to him for the seeemingly neverending delays and sporadic communication on my end of the deal.

Since I won't have access to a computer for at least another week, I would be most appreciative if someone could pass the info on to Lawrence that I am deployed, and that is why I wave been unreachable if he has tried to contact me recently.

All of Lawrence Honan's posts to this thread were deleted. For what reason I do not know.

But, if after all of this.....you still feel comfortable going through with your transaction...you wont get any grief from me. You wont get any sympathy either though, but I'll support you should your deal go bad.

All I was looking for was more proof. I haven't seen any solid evidence like in other post when someone got screwed. Believe me, I am far from being comfortable with this. I would just like to get as much information as possible before I make a definite decision. Thanks for you kinds words though and for your support.

If Lawrence accepts all my conditions then I would have more than enough to prosecute him if I do go through with this and if I do end up getting screwed. Believe me when I say I will prosecute anyone that scams me to the full extent of the law. If all goes well and I get what I wanted out of this deal I will be sure to let everyone know. If Lawrence is a stand up guy I'm sure he won't have a problem with:

1. References from known sources.
2. Paperwork from NERD for the Pastel Male
3. A recent pic of him holding the pastel male with something showing the date of when he took the pic.
4. A copy of his drivers license with his current address.

Also considering if payment would be made it would be made with the purchase of postal money order paid with my credit card. I would think if anything happened I would be protected with the money order since it would be a federal offense. Also since I would have all his info I would be able to send it to the FBI Internet Scam division and to the local police department in his city.

Do you guys think this should cover me or is there anything else I am missing? Thanks for all your help!

Yes, you are missing the fact that this person's posts have been removed from this thread for "Member previously suspended; fine due". He has bypassed suspensions and now owes a "$100 fine for multiple fake logons after suspension".

Is this a person with whom you would want to do business under ANY circumstances? Run, don't walk away. There are others in the business from whom you can buy safely. You will be happy that you did.

I have done business with larry for a few years, I have been to his place. I have never gotten a bad vib from him. All I can say is he has always been more the generous and helpfull to me.

WoW.. 4 pages of replies to this posts and BS about Larry Honan, but except for Tom and I no one has done business with this gentlemen. How can you fauna posers pass judgment on a person you never had dealings with? This is an inquiry about business dealings not a forum for the jobless to put down others and make themselves fell like the actually contribute something to society.

I’ve purchase replies from Larry since the 80’s and If I had to put a dollar amount on it I would say I’ve spent well over $35,000. He as let me in on some great ground floor breading projects and has offered me payment plans when my funding was low. Above and beyond he follows up months later making sure I was content with my purchases.

If you would like to reply to my post please include a picture of you sitting in front of you computer, birth certificate, and a copy of you drivers licenses. Now if that sound a bit silly to you “I agree.” So does the initial requests form the person who posted this inquiry.
