In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Well, he's done it again. He didn't pay for the Gwinnett Convention Center & they've rented it out to someone else. Calling for a last minute change of plans in the show location. Anyone who's vended his shows before are encouraged to read the Marketing page on his website. Too many of the claims made were false. He promises reimbursement of the last show table fees if proved to be incorrect. Well, there were no live radio broadcast made from the Greenville SC show. Check it out for yourself.
I think this may possibly be the end. With only around 35 vendors listed for next weekends show. it doesn't sound good. Who is he going to blame this time? It's nobodys fault but his own.

Do you know that this is, in fact, what happened or are you making an inference based on the last minute change?

Anyone can call the venue and find out. However would it be THAT smart to change locations 1 week from the show when all advertisements were made for that venue?!?

Nov. 18-20 Fri.-Sun. Dixie Classic Intergalactic Bead & Jewelry Show Convention Center

That is from the Gwinnett Convention Center website. :) As of last week there were NO reservations made for him and that came from a very reliable source.

Sorry Monica, it just sounded like something Jason would say, but now that I think about it, it sounds like something you would say too. One way or the other, it was funny.

Ok I forgive ya this time. Don't let it happen again though. and what are you doing up at 2am?!? GO TO BED!

Well, there were security issues with the Gwennit center the last time I was there - people form the other shows kept sneaking into the reptile show. It was quite a problem. tony had to have someone stand there and keep people form sneaking in!

I can't say I'm upset at the change of venue. I think the extra room is a plus. Hopefully, the newer, more central location will attract more people. It should be interesting. Barrign any unforseen, catestrophic event's, I'll be there for this show.

So are you saying the Atlanta show is going to be a bad show, I really hope not because I look forward to it all year long. But on a possitive note the new place is really really nice.
JOHN S.

No one said it's going to be a bad show. But it's not going to be as big as most people would expect. Too many people are going to be upset when they go to the Gwinnett Center for a reptile show that's not there. All the advertising was done for the Gwinnett Center. Including Reptiles Magazine. And a lot of people don't have(or want) the internet. If you attend the Atlanta show, I hope you have a great time.

I went on to Tony’s website (http://www.reptileandexoticanimalshow.com/ga/) this morning to get directions and noticed it had been moved from the normal location to the AmericasMart in Downtown Atlanta. I checked on the AmericasMart website and noticed that the show was not listed. I emailed them and received and email back saying there was no reptile show scheduled there. I went back to Tony’s site and cut and pasted the section listing them as the venue and emailed it back into AmericasMart. This time I received a phone call back from the booking rep. She assured me that the website was incorrect and there would be no reptile show there this weekend. Not long after speaking with her, I spoke to Tony on the phone. He assured me that she was mistaken and the show was on for there. After hanging up with Tony, I then received a call from the Vice-President of AmericasMart. He told me that beyond a shadow of doubt, there was no reptile show there this weekend. He says he is the man who writes the contracts, and no contract was ever written for this. He said he talked with Tony several times and they wanted to get the show in, but it could not be arranged on this date. He also says he made Tony aware on Friday there would be no show. I checked back at the old Atlanta venue just in case, they are booked with another show. As of right now, I do not believe there is going to be a show at all this weekend. If anyone else has better or more up to date information, please let is know.

Oh Man... COME ON TONY GET REAL AND TELL THE PEOPLE BEFORE THEY WASTE MONEY COMING TO A SHOW THATS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. Stop playing games with these people!

THANK YOU! SCReptiles for your very informative post. If I say anything about any shady dealings from a show promoter, I get questioned. I've chosen not to vend any more of his shows because of all the misrepresentation. His shows used to be totally awesome. But lately have lacked in attendance of vendors & attendees. I'm glad someone other than myself has the nerve to come forward.

Better yet, call the AmericasMart & see what they tell you about the reptile show.

The only right thing for us to do is try to notify the vendors that the show is cancelled. We also need to let the general public know. I'd be highly upset if I made the trip & found NO Show, as a vendor or attendee.
