Be sure to check the original post date on ads before replying!

I know it's usually over-looked, but occasionally people respond to a classified post that is over a year old. Sometimes the advertiser hasn't even been on-line here at Fauna since the day they posted the ad, so they may not see your response here. Your best bet is probably to send them an email, especially if they provide an address in the ad. Otherwise, you can click on their user name and select "email" from the menu that pops up.

If you need help posting an ad, please feel free to ask. Also, if you would like your ad thread locked after you've sold the animal/item, just let me know.

Thanks
-Paul

Can't you delete the new ads after you've sold?

I'm not sure if you can completely delete them or not....but even if you cannot, I would think you could at least edit the information to read SOLD...?

To the best of my knowledge, only certain memberships can delete posts. I could be wrong. Also, instead of deleting them I think it would be better to leave them up for reference, especially if members want to link to the ad when they leave feedback, etc. Mostly though, I just wanted to stick a reminder at the top of the forum. Quite a few people have responded to ads without noticing the posting date, which is understandable since the ads don't automatically expire after a certain time period.
