Craigslist: Oh my GOODNESS what a shock!

This is a classified board that people sell their stuff on. I bought a nice entertainment center one time from a lady who was getting a big screen TV which was not going to fit in the center so she sold it to me.

As well they have a community pet section where people list pets for adoption, 2 of my 4 dogs were adopted off of there.

They also have other forums, one of which is a personal forum.
I looked one time and was not real impressed at the 'women wanting to meet guys' one, it was the usual run of very young posters promising all sorts of searing romance, but no pic (a dead giveaway for guys posing as gals just wanting to trade hot email), and lonely older women offering to 'be friends first' which in my experience is not a gigantic incentive for guys on the prowl.

I don't know why I clicked on the 'guys wanting to meet guys' forum this morning (maybe I was bored since I'm cleaning house),
and I almost fell out of my chair!!!!!!
I can't believe people would post **those** kind of pictures of themselves, showing , on a public board

Curious, I traipsed though some of the other personal forums and got an eyeful on some of them as well.
I do not consider myself a prude (and none of y'all consider me such either ) although I never go to any porn sites; but I would NEVER post such a pic of myself in public.
I mean, what if I decided to run for Senator of Texas or something?
In fact, the only nude pic of me that exists is the traditional 'baby in the bathtub' pic my parents took, I've got the only copy, too, lol and NOBODY is getting it.

What do y'all think, have y'all ever taken skin pix of yourselves? Would you post them in public? (This is not an invitation to do so here, BTW).

I can sum that up very succinctly, H3LL NO!

Why do they do it? Ignorance? Caught up in the moment? Enamored with the notion? Blatant immaturity?
It's one of those decisions that many people don't realize just how stupid it is until AFTER the repercussions roll in. Regret is best avoided.

Some of these guys have huge balls (pun intended) for the pics they send you.

I came across a odd profile on Myspace once. It stated 'I am a dirty slut'. The profile was mostly bare, but had several pictures of a naked girl performing various sex acts. It gave out her personal info and claimed she would be willing to do anything with anyone, because she was a whore.

I felt terrible for her. I thought it was the act of a cruel ex-boyfriend, posting once private pictures and degrading his once beloved. I did everything I could to contact the girl with her given personal info.



I felt like an idiot when she returned my attemps to inform her of this profile. She gave me a list of acts she was willing to proform and the price I would have to pay to watch.



What I thought was some poor victim of an evil ex-boyfriend, was indeed a dirty slut.



Some people get off on being seen by strangers...idk...whatever works for them..

Well, perhaps being a dirty slut is OK in private; after all, one man's meat is another man's....well, never mind...
But even if you DO it, one shouldn't POST it......

I went back and looked again (research of course ) and look at what one of the threads was titled!:

I'd like to know, from the men here, do you ever think twice about getting intimate with self professed, well used, dirty sluts? I mean if they really are and really do have multitudes of sex partners. Is it worth it to do her simply, or especially, because she is so accommodating?

Eh, I glanced over some of those Craigslist ads once......and that was enough. To each their own I guess, but I'll never understand it.

I have not seen Craigslist...nor do I plan to go looking. (I am too far behind in my posting here on Fauna to waste time on such things)
As for the other questions - the dirty slut issue can be a daunting one. The willingness and enthusiasm are on the pro side. The # of guys that are likely to have been there before me is on the con. At least in that instance, the information is right there so one can make an informed decision. (were there comments from satisfied or unhappy customers?, lol, THAT would be helpful)
Do such pictures of me exist? - yes.
Would I post them on a public forum? - no...but I did post 1 that was more suggestive than revealing. I certainly wouldn't reveal all secrets...
Of course, I could go with what Jessica mentioned and start emailing them to women. Think it would help me find a new someone?

Posted? NO. There are limits. Even without a face shot included, this could explode in your face.

Why does the girl proudly profess her slutty side? The only thing I can conclude is low self esteem and lack of love. Or, she doesn't know love when it is given.Perhaps her parents never showed her self respect.

I also conclude that guys don't mind being with dirty sluts because they can sexually abuse them and walk away without tripping over the strings. They screw them, do whatever their fantasy is and go about their merry way. The girl doesn't mind because there is always another guy willing to be with her. Maybe she is on a never ending quest for love and suffers a lifetime of users.

Being a regular net surfer, I have seen many things far worse. Imagine people puking on each other because some people enjoy to see that sort of thing. Usually this is Asian girls earning money to help their parents support the other siblings. In poverty stricken societies, little girls are sold into sex slavery.

As for the subject at hand, yes, I hate to see young women who may have had a promising future destroyed by whatever circumstance, but these are girls that KNOW better. I do not feel too bad for them. I don't want one either.

My sorrow goes to those that never stood a chance to begin with and by age 8, their way of life is written in stone.

sometimes..in just a few cases.....the girl might have had something traumatic happen in her life..like getting raped, sexually abused..and that leads to low self-esteem..leading to yet again being used by men, leading to...it goes on and on..so sometimes its like a mental issue

I agree there as I had a former girlfriend that was the youngest of the three girls and three boys. I later learned that her odd sexual behaviour was a result of being molested by her father, his brother and two of the three brothers. She was not alone-- her two sisters were the subjects of parental molestation as well. Oddly, the father was finally convicted, sentenced to nine years in prison and died there two years into the sentence.

The uncle went back to WV where he lives today.

The mother knew about what was going on and was never charged with a crime at all. She remains free today, and is living with the middle daughter and son in law.

The younger girl moved to Hollywood, Fla, has since married and has two kids. She will not allow her husband to have any time alone with either the son or daughter.

The oldest girl lives in Baxley, Ga, and at the age of 15 married to a man in his 60's. He died a few years later and she remains, at age 39, a single lady.

The brothers surviving, lead a fairly normal life and no one mentions the sister that turned her father in. They have all abandoned her.
The youngest brother died of cancer a few years ago-- unindicted.

During her teenage years, the girl was known throughout town as the slut- the one where a guy would, without a doubt, get laid. She was easy and let everyone know about it. For her consideration, that was what her life was all about and would ever be about.

In the time we dated, I learned about the family and the way they operated. I often wondered where she got the drive she had and when I figured it out, I conviced her to report what was happening. This started the fall of the family.

I thank Family and Childern Services for removing her and making a lady of a whore. They saved this girl in the one year they had her, until she reached legal age.
