    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. ANYONE WHO IS THINKING OF DOING BUSINESS WITH HIM, DON't.  IT REALLY ISN'T WORTH THE TROUBLE.  I was having some trouble getting him the paperwork for a devenomized canebrake I traded him.  I finally was able to get the paperwork and send it off, but not before he called me every name in the book and posted a bunch of crap on the BOI.  He traded me some supposed Tanzanian puffs.  Well needless to say, THEY ARE NOT TANZANIANS, THEY DON'T EAT, And are generally not at all what he claimed them to be. It is also posted on the board of inquiry under one of his other complaints, the person that he got them from admitted they were not tanzanians.  On top of that, he stated to me before we did the trade, that "HE BRED THEM".  HE is a liar,slanderer, and not to mention a whiney little B***H. Save yourself a big headache by not even dealing with him.

What is shadiguy's real full name?  What you are saying here does not match what he has listed in the thread he started.  Real names are required, and the use of ficticious names are grounds to have ALL messages posted deleted by anyone using a ficitious, false, or inaccurate full name.

also never claimed to have bred them so try again.. ill i claimed was captive born so get your facts straight before you speak.. i have said enough on this maytter sop looking for a way out to make yourself look like a reputiable person your a liar and a scammer.

First off, you should NEVER have sent the supposed venomoid Canebreak out in the first place without the paperwork PERIOD! We will see the truth very soon if you really did send the paperwork out.  But if the paperwork does not show up, and even then if he wants to, he can and most likely will contact your Dept. of Wildlife and or Dept. of Natural Resource (whomever regulates exotic reptiles in your state) and they WILL NOT look upon you sending out a snake like that without the paperwork (if it is truly venomoid) very nicely.

what was the trouble in getting the papers out?  If you were keeping a true venomoid animal, you should have had copies YOURSELF verifying the procedure, ESPECIALLY if YOU had the procedure done on the animal yourself.  And how come when Tito has tried contacting the person you claim has the papers, he can never reach them(and why should HE be stuck with tracking this person down anyway)?  And how come when he drops a live mouse in with the timber, it drops dead after being bitten?  
Apparently it seems to me that you, Kevin, were sent 8 little puff adders for one very normal and hot timber rattlesnake.  Excellent.
 
thanks guys its a Canebrake not a timber but same diffrence its still a hot snake and i still got no paperwork he is just trying to give me a bad name and like i said the truth willc ome out and he is a liar and everyone will see this.
 
What's  so important about "paperwork" with a snake that's been butchered? Can't you see the scars, or the sunken area where the venom glands used to be?

If it really wasn't "altered" and you paid more for less snake, then you have a fraud issue here.

I've always been disgusted by "venomoids," and I wondered why anyone would want one. Now I find out you get "papers" with one, as if it were special or something. It was special before it was mutilated. Now it's just an abused shell of it's former self.....

I'd like to see the practice shunned, and then banned. It's like pulling the canines and claws on a big cat in order to keep one, instead of learning how to take care of one properly..... just another short-cut to keeping "cool" snakes to impress somebody. It doesn't impress me much..... I'm also a bit disappointed by someone who can't make an honest living selling unaltered animals, who will alter a snake to make MORE profit at the expense of the animal.

Talk about snake peddlers.... This is snake peddling at its worst........ breed two venomoids and what do you get? it surely ain't a venomoid.....

So you know. Canebrake and Timber are the same species of Rattlesnake.  They are both Crotalus horridus, Just that the Canebrake is a sub species Crotalus horridus atricaudatus both are commonly refered to as timbers and are not separated into different species.

The problem with venomoids needing papers is because many are operated on through the mouth (no visible scars) and many are simply ligated or cauterized at the tube connecting the venom glands to the fangs (no sunken appearances).  So, these animals look hot to every inspection.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to say for certain that the tubes have not been regenerated after some time has passed.  So, a venomoid can become hot once more.  Also, as we have clearly seen from this thread, it is entirely possible for an animal to be separated from its papers.  What good are they then, if any animal can have papers drawn up after the fact of shipping?

Venomoids, all ethical issues aside, are extremely dangerous animals.  If you are buying them because they are a "safe" alternative to hots, you may find yourself hoping that your local hospital carries the necessary antivenin one day.  I'm especially concerned with people having exceptionally venomous species of venomoids, but that's another debate as well.

As to this particular instance, if this canebrake is killing mice with its bite, it's HOT!  Obvious, no?  So, what will the guy who sold it do about the issue?  We still haven't heard him admit it was hot.  Could we have some pictures of the live mouse in the cage, a strike (if you could catch it on film!?&#33<img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>, and a dead mouse immediately thereafter?  Is there any other proof that could be here offered to show the veracity of the snake being hot?

Thanks for posting that clarification Rob.  Although I know aboutthe subspecies, I(like most people) have a tendency to just lump them together when talking about them.  

Tom, although I with you about the creation of venomoids being un-ethical, this is not the place for the discussion of the practices' ethics pro or con.  If you wish to attack the topic it should be placed in the general discussion forum.  Hope I'm not offending you, by saying this, but the BOI is not a place to debate the venomoid issue.

Back to Tito's deal, paperwork cannot prove the snake was actually given the procedure or not, but it adds more validation to the claims.  However, Kevin's inablity to provide the proper paperwork regarding the snakes' surgery shows that the surgery was most likely not done in the first place.  If I were to EVER own a venomoid snake, you better damn well believe I will have every document, receipt, photos, removed glands in a jar, etc. regarding that devenomation just on the odd chance the animal were to change hands and I would be more than happy to provide it.  And the way that Kevin keeps passing the buck onto another person shows his lack of responsibility in regards to this issue.  

He seems like a very unprofessional person to deal with, and quite honestly a potentially DANGEROUS person to deal with.  If you INSIST on having venomoids, no matter the reason, get it from someone you can TRUST without a doubt.  Because after all, you are putting your life in their hands.
 
THe paperwork is on its way to him, it was sent out yesterday.  As for the fact that he told me he bred them and that they were tanzanian, he told me that and even argued the fact a couple days ago and still tried to say that they were true tanzinians and were eating for him, they have not even touched rodents since I got them, they have not a speck of red like the one in the picture he posted.  He is simply a overdramatic drama queen.  I was not trying to slander him, I was simply replying to all of his crap posts.  The snake still had sutures when I sent it to him, it was a fixed snake, and he is simply throwing a fit for no reason.  LOOK at his post complaining and slandering someone for not holding a snake when he never put down a deposit.

You should be glad it was not me that received the snake without paperwork. within hours of receiveing the snake, you would have had the authorities contacting you.  Which is what he should have done.  If you could not send the paperwork with the animal at that time, then you should NOT HAVE SENT THE ANIMAL!!! NO PAPERWORK NO DEAL!! I don't think your getting understanding that.  I will say it again. you should NOT HAVE SENT THE ANIMAL WITHOUT PAPERWORK!!!

Many of you have noted that the paperwork is not proof that the animal is venomoid, especially when the paperwork is so slow in coming... And if the animal is in fact hot, the paperwork won't matter anyway...

That is not the case. Outside of providing proper proof that the animal was a venomoid  at the time of sale (should have been a given) some communities do not allow  hots, but will allow venomoids... In the  same manner that a state can make a law more restrictive than the federal  regulations on an issue...  Individual counties or cities can make their laws more restrictive than the state laws. Tito obviously does not live in  such a community  (he stated he had actual hots) but the possibility that the animal may not stay with him forever or that he may not stay in the same location forever must be considered. For both his own legal protection as well as that of anyone he might s ell this animal to in the future (However he can't at this point, not as a venomoid  anyway, because he claims it isn't) that paperwork can be important.

The paperwork shouldn't matter worth anything when interacting with that animal. Any handling should be done as if it was fully hot and had an  attitude... It has been said that  "The most dangerous snake in the world is the one you are handling right now." and every hot keeper either knows this or doesn't keep hots that long. However the paperwork does matter on some levels.

I also agree that  the moral aspects of venomoids  do not belong on this forum. There was a  fairly recent thread in the general  discussion forum that dealt with that exact issue (venomoid health and safety).
 
KEVIN SMITH, if you have the paper work, post a copy of it.  If you don't have a scanner, go to the public library, get a library card, and scan it there.  Don't want to do that?  Go to Kinko's.  Isn't a few bucks worth your reputation?  Let's see a scan of that paperwork.  Pronto.
 
and you guys thought I was bad. Here these puff adders are causing more problems and as for venomoids I dont understand what someone wants one for? Be a man and learn how to handle the snakes the right way. thank you Robert Kirk

If you have something to contribute to this thread or the other one your post on for this situation then do so, if not then do not waste the time and bandwidth posting comments like you did.
 
Bob i have all sorts of snakes... Venomous,Non Venomous and Venomoids. its not the poin of this thread of what i have its of the legality of the transaction. Kevin Was informed form the get go not to send the snake with out the paperwork and i gave him the benifit of the doubt and still sent his snakes to him. He thankd me and loved them upon recieving them and then posted this when i put to the general pubic what he was trying to do then when 3 weeks had gone by and i grew tiered of hearing yah the paperwork is in the mail every day for 3 weeks it sent up a red flag that he was ful of it and was trying to buy himself time hoping i would go away which i wont. I am an experienced keeper and this was just a warning in the even that a less skilled, or a person justgetting into hots doesnt buy from him and end up dead.. i know to test anything i have.. and i never freehandle any venomoid either they are treated with the same respect that i give my venomous. i do not free handle hots or venomoids. giving a venomoid less respect because it had a surgery that iis no reason to think u can free handle it. i know this but others may not that is the point of the threads. <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':angry:'>
