Personally, I LOVE reading posts from new members. I love viewing things from their perspective and sometimes they even make sense.:) We have some very interesting young people on this board!

It would be helpful, if they would sympathize with us old guys with old minds and eyes and do all their thinking BEFORE hitting the "Submit" button. It's quite irritating to read several posts from the same person (sometimes a minute apart) correcting themselves, adding a thought (I do this sometimes), or just repeating themselves.

I am in NO way trying to tell others how or when to post. Post away..just trying to help make my own reading experience so much better (I'm selfish, self-absorbed, and plain mean that way). I've been told many times to "get over myself," but I am finding it extremely difficult to do that since I am ever so present in my own mind.

Honestly, it would make my reading/learning experience so much better, and make the rest of you look so much more intelligent!:)

This post is "tongue-in-cheek" for those of you who don't know me and my brand of humor.

Whut?
Could you, like, say that again? :D

It's just that this is how things are done now...

It's a texting world. Make a statement
Make another statement.

Putting together a paragraph is TOUGH. And when it is done, PUNCTUATION is too often nonexistant.

We're old...behind the times.
Just don't understand.

Personally, I like it that way.
Disregard textspeak. Gloss over the endless, run-on sentence unless something hints that it may actually contain something relevant (more often than not, nothing is lost by overlooking it, IMO - if I have to struggle to comprehend it, I don't care enough to bother).

:ack2:

I can always count on YOU to "get it."

Nick, I seldom actually laugh out loud, but that was funny.(I'm also an old person, so I refuse to use 'lol').

I usually think that several posts in a row by the same person(not obvious accidental double-posting the same thing) always looks like they think it'll mean more. Maybe if there's ten posts, it'll be the same as if ten DIFFERENT people posted!

It amuses me when I make up stuff for my little world. I like living here cause everyone gets along or I feed them to one of the dragons. Unless Lil Beachie objects, then he gets to send them to KP duty after doing push ups.

I'd string this out to several posts, but I'm too lazy. Sorry.
