Posted At 06:40:24 02/16/2001 if it is cutthroat reptiles--that guy is an animal control officer with a huge long list of animals, most of which i doubt he has--he also ripped me off for $100 about 3 or 4 years ago--his name is robert mesquite or something like that |

2533.html Posted At 13:42:54 04/12/2001 Hello. This is a faily old thread and I don't know if anyone is gonna check back on it. But, what the heck , I'm gonna post anyway. I don't know of any Critterman in Cuttthroat Reptiles, but I do know of a Critterman out of Michigan. This dude is sort of shady if you ask me(my opinion). I was gonna buy these displays from him. They are the kind that Superior Enterprise sells for about $127 or so. He said they were brand new and only used 3 times. $110 or $200 for both. I live in Indianapolis, Indiana. He comes to our Midwest Reptile Show every now and then. So, one show I picked up the flyer he was passing out advertising these displays. He had the flyer straight from Superior Enterprise and had just copied it and added his own info to it. Well, I called him and asked him to bring them to Indy next time he came. He said, "Well I don't know man , you gonna buy em? Cause I'm getting tired of toting these thing around and nobody buying them." I said ,"Well yeah, if they're new and everything, I'll buy em'" Well, this is what happened. He said he didn't want to come to Indy because he was gonna lose his tables at the Streamwood, Illinois show. Then he goes,"But I rather come to the Indy show , cause I make more money there than I do at Streamwood" I said , "Well , if you come cool, if not, that's cool too." A few minutes later, he calls back telling me that he talked to the guy in Illinois and that the guy would save his tables if he skipped a show. I said alright , so I'll see you at the Indy show? He said ,"Yes". Show comes and we hook up. I go out to the truck along with my friend to check out the displays. They are NOT new and have plexiglass covers instead of the actual glass covers and are all scratched and hazed from paper towel wiping I assume. And , one of the lock hinges was busted. He said, " I didn't realize that it was broke before man,,, So, I'll let you have em' for $90 each. I obviously didn't want them .I just said I'll think about it and let you know at the end of the show. Of course , he knew that meant ,"HELL NO" But , he just frowned and said , " Well, I brought these a long way and it would suck if you guys didn't want them now." After the show, he comes over to our table and says,"You guys want these things or not?" So me and my buddy break it down for him. He gets pissed and says," That's bull because I could of went to the Streamwood show instead of coming here and made more money!!!!" " Now ,I've lost my tables at the Streamwood show messing with you guys!!!!!" " I wish you would have just told me you didn't really want them and only wanted to look at them, I would not have came here!!!" I calmly said," Well, I wish you would have represented them honestly and true, cause you would of saved both of us alot of time and trouble." And , not to mention , I put off ordering from Superior Enterprise just cause I thought I was getting some at the show to use with my animals that day. Moral of this story is, It is in my opinion, that this guy is a BUSTER. Stay away, you might not get what he says you're getting. Thanks and hope this gets read., Sincerely, David L. Hinojosa |

2731.html Posted At 12:47:45 04/19/2001 i agree i have met the michigan critter man, and he is a shady dishonest guy i have seen his animals at the great lakes show and they are not clean or very healthy looking he had 2 two and a half foot tree moniters in a 10 x 3 deli cup and they looked terrible the best animals i have seen were 2 sand boas that had a lot of old skin on them he is a very pushy man selling animals to who ever has the cash ive seen the animals he sells to area pet stores in ann arbor and i'm not impressed just my .04 apple |
