Hi All, Andy Maggs (fromerly Quality Reptiles in MI), amongst other names and people he has worked with and subsequently screwed should be avoided worst than the plaque! He took me for $550 and I know of a handful of other well intentioned people with great reputations he has screwed besides. He will burn you and then tell you off his lack of fear of repercussion, remorse, and the fact that he can easily return to Canada (I hear this isn't even true as I hear he has charges due him there too). He is not only a crook above crooks but perhaps the most callous I have ever encountered. If you get the chance to please feel free to F#@* him back on our behalfs (myself as well as the many others he has toasted). Thanks for hearing me out and be careful. Happy........ Posted At 10:06:29 02/20/2001 If someone has the money to do it, they should hire a private investigater to track him down and keep an eye on him until a warrent of something else can be served on him. There is a great private investigation company in Michigan called "Kerby, Bailey and Assoc." and they do great work. The person who runs it is a fairly new retired FBI agent. |

Posted At 10:22:28 02/20/2001 About the whole Canada thing. First off it takes an act of god to even become a citzen of Canada. Secondly if it's so easy for him to go back then he must be from Canada and still listed within Immigration. One slip up or just the slightest mess up and they deport him back to Canada. |

4066.html Posted At 22:20:44 06/03/2001 Stay away from this guy at all costs. I stupidly shipped $1915 worth of my captive bred geckos and dragons to him last September. I confirmed through the shipping company that they were received. He never sent a check for them. I repeatedly tried to contact him, but his phone was always disconnected. Finally after about two months, he contacted me and said he was going to start sending me payments. That was about 6 months ago. I have since heard of several other people that have had similar problems with him. People like this need to be run out of this business. It really hurts all of the good breeders out there. I could go on and on about Mr. Maggs, but it all comes down to- do not do any business dealings with him. |
