I was the high bidder on a pictured surinam redtail on herpauction.com. I sent the money as we had agreed and he offered to sex the animal when he had a chance. I declined and said that it was not necessary. The package came three weeks later(delayed). Wrong snake, a near-dead, recent import piece of crap. I called him and he said that he sends his money to an importer in Florida and the animals go out from there. So how could he have sexed it?(oops). So I gave him the benefit of the doubt and asked him to refund half of my money which he agreed to and assured me that he wasn't an ass****. The money never came and he is too cowardly to respond to any of my inquiries. His name is Paul Botte. He uses the moniker "philomena". His last known address is 1999 Marshall Rd. Apt#1004, Monaca, Pa 15061. Phone number is (724)775-4968. I have notified many companies including those he uses for shipping as well as his internet provider. If we ever cross paths I will get my money back, or something like that. |

Posted At 16:31:05 10/29/2000 Well, sounds almost EXACTLY like what he did to me! I was the winning bid on 4 "het for albino, born in his house, tame, eating and bug free". It took him well over a month to send me my baby burms, and he said since it had taken him so long to get them to me, he would throw in an extra. Well, what I got was four half dead (two of which died right away), mite infested, obviously wild caught, mean and nasty imports! He didn't throw in the extra baby, he said it "died" (thank God, as it would have just died too), Blamed Jay of Jays Exotic Jungle, saying it was his fault, however, if they were born in his house, how could it be Jay's fault?? All of the babies ended up dieing, none of them would eat, one of them had deformed eyes, and he STILL hasn't made any of this right. He LIES about everything! He won't return my money, or replace the snakes (which I don't want anyway, I don't deal with wild caught) I STILL have the copy of the add where he says they were hets, born in his house, bug free, eating like pigs and tame. BUYER BEWARE!! This man is a CRIMINAL! And he couldn't care anyless about the animals than he does! If him and I ever cross paths, I want the same thing that you want Dan!! |

Posted At 20:28:21 10/31/2000 Actually, yes, I did talk to Rik, and he talked to Paul, but at this point, NOTHING has ever been done about the animals or the money he owes me. He just keeps saying that *I* am the only person that has ever complained. (not Rik, but Paul) Rik is the BOMB!!! He helped me get through my Fred Tribbett jr. experience, in fact that was the final straw for Fred, he got booted off of Herpauction. I think I will just drop Rik a line and find out if he has heard anything. |

Posted At 22:17:10 01/20/2001 my name is jay and i am the owner of exotic jungle in fort lauderdale florida. there is some concern about paul botte and my animals. i have sold him animals in the past, all which are healthy. i have not sold him anything in atleast 4 months because he owes me money. im in the process with two other dealers about to enter a lawsuit on him because he also owes them money from animals. it has also came to my attention that he is using my name in which why his animals are not healthy and im the reason why his animals are being delayed in shipping. this is all wrong and un-true. i am putting this also in my lawsuit on him as far as trying to ruin my business for his stupid mistakes. im asking for anyone and everyone;s help. if you have received any email by him saying that the reason why your animals are not being sent, or any negativity on my company being involved, please email me. any help from anyone, i will give a discount on any order that is placed. this will also put a stop and hopefully for good on paul botte ever trying to sell anything again thanks jay exotic jungle www.exotic jungle.net |

His new email address is ppbreptiles.pa@netzero.net, he also is using a photopoint account under the address brittsreps@yahoo.com. I notified everyone I could think of including herpauction but I only received one reply back and it was not them. |
