I just wanted to let everybody know what a terrible experience I had with Chris Jones. I recently tried to purchase an anaconda from him, sending a money order express mail overnight for expediency's sake, and giving him the tracking numbers. he knew the MO was coming on a sunday, when he swore he would be there. Not only was he not there to receive it that day, he did not try to pick it up over the next five days before the next attempted delivery (according to the post office, of which I have verification) or in the intervening five days before the post office gave up and shipped it back. Here it is, almost two weeks after I first received email from him, I am waiting to get my package back, and I end up stuck with overnight shipping costs and a money order that I have to try to get refunded. What's worse, the man refuses to make the situation right, and claims to have just now found another buyer. I could never prove he sold the snake out from under me for a higher price after committing the animal to me, so i can not make such an accusation, but it seems a bit fishy to me that a man who runs a business selling snakes had no way to get my money order during a ten day period. I just recently saw Chris' (profane and juvenile) response to a previous post threatening lawsuits (I wish I had seen this forum before I encountered the man), so I would just like to say that I have every email exchanged during this process, the receipts for shipping, the money order stub, and the data sheet from the post office showing attempted deliveries. If anyone is considering making some kind of purchase from this man, I would strongly advise against it. THanks for listening. Kris Stroup |

2114.html Posted At 06:28:55 03/29/2001 I dont know if this is the case with you but a freind of mine went through the same thing someone refusing to sign for postal money orders and once the truth came it a couple months after it was because the person who refused to sign was ripping people off and was trying to avoid prosocution, it can be done but is harder without the signed letters and postal money orders, just some food for thought, Jason |

So im sorry for the problems and I had another buyer alread at the same time and when he replyed he was not happy with me I just sold to another person. This way I had no other dealings with a person whom did not like the way I do bisness. And for all the other people whom dont like me or the stuff I sell I have many saticfied costomers whom are 100% happy with what they get from me. So I dont need people like Mr Strup to tell me how to do my job. I could have signed for it and keep his money order but I did not because I had a family emrgncy. Thanks Chris Jones |

2231.html Posted At 12:12:04 04/04/2001 The righteous ire of Mr. Jones seems a bit misplaced to me. He never mentioned a family emergeny os a mitigating factor before now, particularly not in his email of Sunday, March 18 in which he says, "Well, I got a notice that the post office tried to deliver the money order, but no one was home, so it will be monday" (I have a copy to forward to anybody interested). Or maybe the official postal record of attempted delivery on sunday. Even past the family emergency, he had ten full days to pick the money order up, and the USPS reports that it is still in his local post office, but has no record of attempted recovery. |

Chris recently emailed me and has offered me a great deal on another anaconda that in my opinion certainly makes up for previous inconvenience. I am very pleased with his willingness to fix a bad situation, and this certainly restores my faith in his company. |
