This is relative to a recent thread about using Postal Money Orders to pay for purchases. I recently had an odd transaction, not amounting to a lot of money, that began with the old, "Well, I overslept and couldn't ship it out". Then there was an offer to send an additional desirable animal at a good price and I should "just send a personal check". Well, I turned down the "extra", and within a couple of weeks I ended up getting my original Postal Money Order back in the mail, uncashed. Although I'm not certain, my gut feeling is that if I had not paid for this lizard with a Postal Money Order (and the ability to file a mail fraud complaint), I would never have seen my money or my gecko. Although I have had few problems purchasing reptiles, I will ALWAYS use Postal Money Orders in the future. |
