Jeramy Lacourse sold another teacher and I 6 bearded dragons with the understanding that one was a freebie since it was a proven breeder with a relatively mild neurologic problem that it had from birth. Turned out that the "Neurologic problem" was really some form of contagious disease that rapidly wiped out three of the six beardeds and contaminated some of my leopard geckos and one carpet python. Within a few weeks, several animals developed this "neurologic" spasmotic group of motions and rapidly declined to death. I have a strong belief that he sold us the dragons knowing that they were dying to cut his losses. We are teachers trying to develop a reptile program for our school. The cost has been enormous and totally out of pocket, but it is worth it for this group of kids that will never experience animals of this type again. This guy cost us a ton of cash and labor trying to get this infection under control. He appears to have moved out of his home (344 Harris Street Elmore OH 43416) and refuses to answer e-mail. |

7260.html Posted At 03:22:04 08/13/2001 WRONG!!!!!! I haven't dealt in reptiles on the internet in a while due to things like this!!!! 1)I never got an email from you! 2)You had my phone # (well the lady techer did!) 3)Yes I moved, which I was in the middle of doing and explained so when making this deal! 4)I had that bearded for well overa year! and it never affected any of my dragons! 5) The age and term (all of it's life) of the condition can be verified by thousands of people who seen her always the same at shows! 6) The condition can also be verified by "The lizard factory" who I bought it from already like that! 7) That beardeds condition can also be verified by over 30 people I used to wholesale to,who seen it at my old place for over a year in the same condition! 8) It's condition can also be verified by DR. BOULDARIS a vet I had look at her who told me "It's a neurologial condition, she is NOT contagious or in pain but she will lose more control as she ages" 9) If that was a contagious you would see hundreds of posts just like your because she produced hundreds of babies which have been sold throughout the united states!by two different breeders!!! If this was like you said ? don't you think it would have caused an eppidemic? |

7310.html Posted At 20:46:28 08/13/2001 I am not going to waste any more time on this. I and a fellow teacher were sold the animals and ended up sustaining a total loss of over 15 percent of an extensive high school herp program. Prior to the purchase, we had lost no animals at all for over a year and a half. The description of the above situation is accurate regardless of the blustering response I just received. Why am I hearing from you ten months after the transaction? We repeatedly tried to contact you via e-mail and in writing but this is the first I have heard from you. Since when does moving mean that your e-mail cannot be accessed? Interesting that your screen name is the same. And how about mail forwarding? Please don't waste my time with this anymore. I posted a fair description of what happened. If you were a truly honorable dealer, you would remit some of the loss that we sustained. I am absorbing the significant loss from my pocket and have moved on to replace the animals lost to my program. Hopefully you will have more honor in dealing with your future customers. I noticed that you have lots of others that are contesting your business dealings. |
