I am a hobbyist /small time breeder (1 pr of bearded dragons). In september 2000, I shipped 25 hatchlings (1/3 of my babies from last year) to Global Reptiles with an invoice for $390 and I was told I would receive a check in about 30 days. It is now April 2001 and I still have not received the check despite repeated phone calls. Their rep (Ian) keeps insisting he is going to send the check and has never disputed the quality or health of the animals, or the amount of the invoice. It's been over 6 months now and no check! I urge you not to sell to or buy from them. |

2306.html Posted At 22:36:38 04/06/2001 ~Although, I have never dealt with these people, I do have one question for you... ~What ever possessed you to ship a product without receiving payment first???~ ~Many years of raising and breeding behind me and the ONE time I allowed a lizard to go to someone I thought was reputable with only a deposit and a WRITTEN/signed contract for future payments...I got taken!!! ~Do you have an agreement with them... in writing? If so, I suggest you let them know that you can take the issue to a small claims court. {As I had to do!} They can be found liable "in absentia". ~I would also, recommend you record any further conversations with them and keep any correspondence. 2466.html Posted At 20:52:43 04/10/2001 I only shipped first because a local pet store I deal with (specializing in herps) does alot of business with them and that's how I got set up with them. The pet store owner has recently stopped dealing with them until I get paid. He is more surprised than me about the deal. |
