I initially bought a water monitor off of him but he told me after he got the money that he did not feel comfortable shipping it because it was acting sick. Since it was his last one he sent me the money back promptely. His honesty really impressed me. I would recomend him and buy off of him in the future. |

He send many blizzards and banana blizzard leo gex to dan atkinson along with some snakes in a major trade deal. When one of my banana's died he blamed it on a intermediary between dan and ben which did not exists as this intermediary was only a transport to the airport. Dan did not cause these problems. especially since some of dan's snakes died that were from ben and ben told him to screw off and passed the buck on dan. I am sure ben is a good guy overall but this time he screwed some very nice people. |

2762.html Posted At 16:18:44 04/20/2001 i have never sold one animal to keith sklar or to dan atkinson--never traded sold or done any business with either of them--i rarely post on these message boards but read them frequently--but i also rarely hear a bad thing about our company, ask around you will probably find the same. Any how--i traded all those animals to a local friend of mine--and from what i was told--he waited 3 days to ship those animals to dan, who then reshipped them out, god knows when. We take very good care of our customers, and i would not call either one of those people my customers. Many of you know that if you ever have a problem with our animals we really make it a point to keep our customers happy, so this whole story is unfounded--to be honest the only dealings i have ever had with Dan Atkinson, was holding about $3500 worth of animals for him, on his word, of which must not mean much, because the moeny never showed up after speaking with him twice--he did however inform me that he told someone else to tell me that he was cancelling the order--HA!-anyhow--just had to vent. |

I cannot recall haveing any discrepancies, when dealing on the internet corrospondence was fast and to the point.animals shipped to me were received in great condition.And his shop was clean and animals all looked to be in great condition.I am satisfied with the animals I got from him. |

Come on now. I've known Ben Siegel for many years and haven't ever known him to 'buy' or 'sell' any animal that wasn't up to 'his' standards, which folks if you don't know him, he has some pretty high standards. He also has one of the best eyes for flaws in animals I've ever seen and I've learned a lot from this man when it comes to picking wonderful animals. I've seen him refuse groups of animals that appeared to be wonderful, but on second looks weren't. Some of the MOST PRIZED reptiles in Captivity came from 'Ben Siegel Reptiles'! |

Im sure when all goes well Ben is a great guy, but this deal did not go well and he just turned his back and passed the buck. It would be nice Ben to see you type the whole story just once! All I know is I sent $3800 to a dealer that did a big trade with Ben S. This guy that Ben keeps referring to is a friend of both Bens and mine. We both buy from him regularly. (I’ll keep his name out of this, as he is not involved) He traded Ben a pair of Black heads and Ben traded him a bunch of reptiles that I bought for $3800. Before the reptiles were sent to me. I herd of some Albino leopards that Ben was selling as well, along with a few other reptiles. I told our friend if Ben can wait a week, and if he will take $3500 for the order tell him I’d buy them. He said fine. The next day I called Ron Temper found out I could get a 50 lot of Albinos for 1/2 Bens asking price. I told our friend to let Ben know that I would have to pass and why. Now since we never spoke (as Ben likes to keep bringing up) that should have been it. Why you keep telling folks that I led you along on this order for 2 weeks is beyond me. You should have called me. I thought you were told. I NEVER SPOKE TO YOU TO MAKE AN ORDER!!!! Back to the order I did do. The order was for a lot of Geckos and a few odds and ends. I had one reptile die on me almost right away. It was suppose to be a 6-month feeding Black tree monitor. I doubt it ever eat and it died. Another was a cave dwelling rat snake that was very thin and died the day after I shipped it out to a customer; I had it about a week. He said it was full of WC parasites. Ben clams it was CB. I don’t know. Ben was bent out of shape that I even called him to ask about the snake. This was the first time we spoke. Somewhere in Bens story he likes to say I never took the reptiles out of their containers, they were neglected water and food. Where the hell did you get that Ben? How can you make that statement?? You also tell folks the other guy did not ship for 3 days he kept them in his garage, no food or water there either. This is a guy you buy from all the time. Are you saying he dose not know how to keep reptiles for even 3 days???? Many of you out there have been to my place, it is VERY CLEAN as I do shows for schools on a weekly bases. Besides Brian Conley and a few misunderstanding IV NEVER been on these posts before. Iv been doing this over 7 years. That’s 100's of people and $1000 of dollars. Brian Conley dose not even count. I can’t believe this guy. He sent me 5 bloods and 4 died in less than 3-4 weeks! I told the man when they arrived they were sick! He is a long and pathetic story. He is a crook, email me and I’ll email you the email address of 3 other locals that all seen Brains sick bloods from day one. Brian is a crook, and a liar if you deal with him your asking for trouble. Ben you sent me some nice reptiles, and this could have been avoided but you just wanted no responsibility for anything. Fact is these were your reptiles and all you have done is push the blame and lie about the whole deal. The geckos came from your shop, the other reptiles came from your shop. Do I feel Ben is a crook, no, but he is a liar and I will never deal with him. And Ben stop telling folks you will never deal with me again, like Brian Conley Your stuff died on me!! Dan, I'll ask one more time, maybe now after 9 months you can tell me. If those snakes I sent were in such bad shape, why did you keep them? I shipped first remember!?! Those snakes were fine and you know it. Not only did you keep them you then sold them! How sick could they have been if you sold them? And as far as them dying in 3-4 wks and that not being your fault, your albino-green burm went from "great shape" to "to sick to ship" in three days (unless you were lying about that also) so I think the disease problem was on your end not mine. And if they were dead in 3-4 wks why didn't you mention that when you sent your 1st and only payment 7wks after your recieved my snakes?? OH wait, I remember, your back was out, or the check's in the mail, or your cat had a gall stone, or Western Union lost the money, or your wife give you a bad case of PMS, or ......
