I am using pay pal, and have recently begun to worry about the risk of someone cancelling payment on an order.I am by no means a large store or business, and if I were to loose 500-1000$ it would put me out badly.I want to accept credit cards, but I am just wondering about other peoples experiences. 2504.html Posted At 23:40:27 04/11/2001 I have been using paypal for about a year and have never encountered a problem. I know f several other businesses that use it and haven't experienced anything either. It's as safe as it can be with all the little whiz kids out there but i feel comfortable using paypal. Joel |

2519.html Posted At 08:21:54 04/12/2001 IVE BEEN USING PAYPAL FOR OVER A YR NOW AS WELL WITH NO RECOURSE.. ITS A FAST,EASY WAY TO SEND/RECIEVE FUNDS.. BUT WHAT I PERSONALLY DO IS ONCE THE MONEYS IN MY PAYPAL ACCOUNT ILL CONSIDER THE ITEM SOLD BUT DONT SHIP TILL THE MONEYS IN MY ACTUALLY BANK ACCOUNT.. NEVER HAD/HEARD OF ANYONE HAVING TROUBLE BUT IF PAYPAL WERE TO CRASH SOMEHOW B4 THE $$ CLEARED INTO MY ACCOUNT, ID BE OUT THE ITEM AND $$.. BETTER SAFE THEN SORRY I SAY, AND NO ONES SEEMED TO MIND THE EXTRA COUPLE OF DAYS WAITING SINCE THE ITEMS THEIRS NOW, JUST NEED THE FUNDS TO COMPLETELY CLEAR.. GOOD LUCK TO ALL WHO DECIDE TO USE THIS METHOD OF PAY... STEVE RK HERPS |

2608.html Posted At 22:37:25 04/14/2001 I just read PayPal's Seller Protection Policy. It appears that a seller is covered for up to $5000 a year if five specific conditions are met. If you do not meet those five conditions, and a the buyer is using a stolen card, YOU will have to reimburse PayPay for the transaction and for any bank fees that they accumulate as a result of the chargeback. What I am unclear about is if you receive payments totaling $5000 that are all legit, and your next payment was made through a stolen card, does that mean you are not covered by their policy because they have already guaranteed your first $5000? |
