Buyer beware! JP PETS is a very bad company and will cheat you every chance they get. I have ordered 3 cb balls,1albino pac-man,3rainbow uromastyx,2 mali uromastyx and they have screwed up the order very bad. First of all when I recived the cb balls they were very tick infected res infection and would not eat anything, they all had very bad weight and were very very very very cold apond arrival. And the albino pac frog came in very very dead and rotted. Theere is NO way the frog could have died in the shipping. And the 3 rainbows were sent straight to a costumer and he stated that the so called rainbow uromastyx were malis. I did not have a chance to see these so I really have no idea. And the two malis that came to me were in very bad shape and would not eat at all! It took 2 weeks of 110F and tons of UV before they even began to look at there food. This so called company advertises in REPTILES magazine and has GREAT prices but it is to good to be true. BUYER BEWARE!!!! |

2628.html Posted At 19:09:30 04/15/2001 I also ordered form JP Pets a while ago. I ordered RAINBOW Uromastyx's and they sent me regular Mali's. I spoke with the company and they insisted that Rainbow Mali's are Regular Mali's! How anyone can advertise Rainbows and Regulars as the same thing is false advertising! Buyer Beware!!!! |

2635.html Posted At 09:54:41 04/16/2001 Well, not to add insult to injury, but you should have used this board for its purpose and you would have seen that no one has ever said anything good about this place... Sorry for your experience... |

3193.html Posted At 15:35:54 05/07/2001 in my experience, fill rate is about 60%, received stuff is so-so, can either be good or bad. If they say they wil make it up to you, tell them you DON'T want 5ft water snakes. I would rather order from silver city personally. |

3429.html Posted At 11:26:33 05/18/2001 Guys, I was just at JP yesterday, and again I would have to say that for the money they have some of the best deals around, period. Now again, I don't know about the shipping as I go and pick-up my animals, but I've been to several importers around the state and JP's quality is every bit as good as what you'd see anywhere else. In many cases it's better because JP tends not to keep large amounts of individual species. They tend to order only enough to fill that weeks order, that could be why the fill rate is low. Yesterday, while I was there, some green tree pythons came in and they were "hands down" the nicest I have ever seen anywhere!!!! Incredible animals, anything less than $600 each would be a good deal on these animals and with JP the price will probably be less than $500. I picked out ball pythons that would sell over the internet for $50 each and paid $10. Again fresh animals right from Africa (C.B. now means farm raised in case anyone is confused) no parasites and they started feeding 2 hours after I got them home. Now, I will admit they do use some "creative marketing" techniques, i.e. "rainbow mali uromastyx." But if you know enough to know the difference between a rainbow uro and mali uro I would think you would also know there is no such thing as a "rainbow mali." The term rainbow mali was probably just being used to describe color not as a common name like rainbow uromastyx. I can't comment on customer service after the sale because as I've said they've never shipped to me and I wouldn't dream of complaining about an animal I picked out personally. Just my $.02. Thanks, Brian |

5651.html Posted At 11:38:58 07/11/2001 We ordered from JP pets, and were very dissapointed. While many of the items didnt show, the three female fat tail geckos that were supposed to be sent were males, and two were dead. there were other problems as well, and many no shows, but we would never order from them again. |
