Just wanted to let everyone know that my least favorite herper in the world is up to his old tricks again. Someone responded to my post about half way down the page (well over 100 lines) titled "Bad Deal w/ Dan Atkinson opinions wanted." and said that Dan ripped them off too. Now Dan is apparently saying an animal died because it came from Ben Siegel!! But hey, at least this time Dan sent the guy a refund check; oh, did I mention IT BOUNCED SKY HIGH!!!!! Dan then cussed the guy out for his trouble. Sounds like a great guy to do business with don't ya think? Watch out fot this guy folks, he will rip you off!!! Just my opinion and my experience. Definition- one who says things he knows to be untrue. example- "Brian, the check is in the mail." When Dan knows the check isn't. I bet you really hate this board don't you Dan. No longer can you drop names to unsuspecting customers and just hope they will make the same mistake I did and not check those references. I know better now, and will seek to educate everyone I can about you and your unscrupulous business practices. Still waiting on the remaining $200 Dan, Brian. |

Did you know you can prosicute for hot checks even when not from your county. Just find out what county the check was wrote in and contact the hot check department . They will gladly fine ,incarsurate what ever . Put these BUMS in jail!!!! GOOD LUCK KEN |

Dan Atkinson - my personal experiences, not hearsay
4205.html Posted At 05:28:25 06/07/2001 I feel compelled to post this, although obviously at this moment in the thread, it will remain as an unpopular sentiment, it IS mine gained from my own experiences. I have had Many dealings with Dan Atkinson. There are certainly a few things (quirks, peculiarities) about Dan that I would change if I could, however, that could be said about anyone. Some of the BEST animals I have acquired have come from/through Dan. I have received nothing but thriving quality animals from Dan and always at bargain rates. This is doubly important when you consider the species with which I deal (Emerald Tree Boas) are notoriously difficult. I've done MANY deals with Dan, he has never let me down. I have recommended him to a great many people and none have had anything negative to say. I have found him to be depenable, and honest in his dealings with me and I look forward to our next deal because he always delivers MORE than promised. I'm saddened to hear that my experiences with Dan have not been shared by all of the people posting here. Maybe that will inspire Dan to try harder. For my part, I have to thank Dan every day when I look around my room. |

4256.html Posted At 19:23:06 06/07/2001 Joe, I don't doubt for a minute that Dan has sold you great animals. Our deal was not a buy/sell type. Dan seems to do much better on that type of deal. In my case we agreed to a trade, Dan made me ship first. He accepted my animals and then failed to send all the animals he promised, (cited a sick animal). Dan promised to send me $350 to make up the difference. He then SOLD OR TRADED my snakes off to "friends" and contacted me 3 MONTHS later to tell me that my animals were now dead and he wasn't paying for them. In fact, he wanted me to send him money so he could reimburse his friends!!!!! Do you offer a guarantee like that?? No one I know of does. Brian |
