DO NOT do deals with this guy i bought 100 tiger salamanders from him i paid for overnight shipping ...he goes an ships them ups ground wich took 7 days!! (every one knows salamanders should not be in transit that long) not only that but he had them in a trash bag ..a black trash bag with a little bit of water adults an larvals TOGETHER!!!!! HE DID NOT REFUND MY MONEY OR REPLACE THE ANIMALS HES A CROOK AN DOESNT CARE ABOUT THE WELFARE OF THE ANIMALS ...BEWARE OF THIS GUY HE HAS A AD UP FOR PAINTED TURETLES DONT BUY THEM |

Orginally, he kept telling me he shipped my snake for weeks. It never showed up and he couldn't provide me with a tracking number. Finally the young snake arrived and he told me that my original snake died before shipping and this was the best available replacement. Problem is I NEVER AGREED TO A REPLACEMENT. When I told him I wanted a refund that motherf*%#!! said he'd file for false allegations and defermation of character charges against me. I think someone should close his little rescue down!!! He also puts out the Happy Herper newsletter. WATCH OUT! |

I will not ship larvals again! I will not talk to you at any time that you can not conduct yourself like an adult. I have tried for over two months now to get in touch with you. I had one other larval shipment go bad, and i refunded them in full. He paid half of the money and I was to ship 10 out immediately and the other 10 in a couple of weeks after he sent the balance. He never did send the other half and I ended up holding onto these geckos for weeks waiting on him. I emailed him several times asking him what the deal was and when he thought we could complete our agreed upon deal, he never even had the courtesy to reply. Point being I never would have sold them at such a reduced price if I knew he was only going to buy the 10 and not a 20 lot. We had a deal and he did not fulfil his end of it. What happened Michael?? Another thing, how can you possibly call yourself a "reptile rescue" then ship out animals in such a poor manner? That is a disgrace in my opinion. Why didn't you tell him that he needed to send more money or cut back his order to cover the total cost (shipping included.) Do I understand correctly that you are affiliated with an animal rescue? I traded him a yearling pair of corns for a pair of gophers and a yearling lavender cal king. The cal king was perfect, and he even threw in an extra gopher. Both of the females laid eggs within a week. I have since traded the gophers, and the person that got them said the females will not eat, but that is the only problem I encountered with him, and it wasn't even him I had the problem with. He has answered every one of my e-mails, and has been very helpful. |

We emailed and talked over the phone numerous times about this shipment. I was to send a check for the full amount of the animals and he was to send out the animals UPS or whatever means he ships. I then got a email message stateing he could not ship that day, so he would ship Monday. Tuesday I didn't recieve anything so I started emailing and calling. Wednesday, Thursday, nada. So, I informed Mr. Mastison I was going to put a stop payment on the check, (He didn't understand where the animals were) He sent them ground unstead of Express. They were in transit for four days!! I told Michael when or if I recieved them I would sent a money order or PayPal his account. I finally got the animals, they were shipped ground USPS. I was madder then a hornet in a ....... But that is a different story. Anyway, to my surprise everything came in fine except for one hatchling mexican milk, which I think was smashed under something else. He shipped the animals in a Rubbermaid Tote!! With just some clear tape holding the lid on. I was shocked to say the least. I was missing some animals so I sustracted those. Animals came in missed sexed and missed sized. We emailed back and forth, and finally came to an agreement on price of the animals that he did ship. Was I screwed? I don't think so. I think he just made some errors in judgement. My $985 deal costed me $650. Plus I sold for him his pair of Jungle Carpets that were in fact two male Coastals. Would I deal with him again? Yes. I believe in giving people a second chance. We all make mistakes, and in this business, you have to learn from those mistakes or you won't stay in business long. |

It seems he cannot afford or does not want to spend $$$ for overnite service. Overnite is the least stressful and safest mode of transportation available aside from the airlines. This is not an accident. People who do make mistakes or use poor judgement deserve a 2nd chance depending on the situation, but you are dealing with live animals and there is simply no excuse here. I wouldnt buy from the person who shipped your animals based on your story, but you would? Sending the wrong sex or even the wrong animal happens, but this situation is different! |

His emails were prompt and curteous and two days after I ordered he sent a tracking number. Then two days later the mail lady brought me a box that contained three live and healthy redsided garters. They came packaged in a snake bag with some kind of straw looking packing material and the packaging was no better or worse than the packages of live reptiles I've received in the past from other more reputable breeders/dealers who shipped with overnight carriers. I waited until they'd all fed (voraciously to be exact) before I posted this but I really had a pleasant experience doing business with Michael and would do so again. |
