I've given his James Mulford of CreepyCrawly Pets in Lakeland, Florida every benefit of the doubt, but my last two emails have been completely ignored and I'm just getting tired of dealing with the lame excuses.

Back in March I contacted James about making some snake bags for me. He brought a sample to the Tampa show for me to look at, and I decided I would like to have him make a batch of 100 for me with the option of getting more later. I contacted him soon afterwards and gave him the specs I wanted the bags to match. He agreed and set a figure, which I committed to.

Early in May he said the bags were basically done, so on May 15th I sent him a check for the total amount asking that they be sent to me whichever way was best for him to accomplish. Time and time again, the ship date got missed. On May 30th he said he had the box packed up and a kid his wife was baby sitting spilled cool-aid all over the bags, ruining them. (At least he didn't say that the dog ate them!)

This just continually dragged on, with one excuse after another all throughout the month of June. Finally I called him on his cell phone number and as soon as I identified myself, he abruptly handed the phone over to his wife without so much as another word. I don't know what the situation is there, but I think I could have been dealt with in a better manner than that. This was sometime in early July, and she committed to getting half of the bags out to me that week, with the remainder following the week after. The reason they all weren't going out was because James said he only had $14 in his pocket and couldn't afford the shipping on the entire shipment. But since he got paid on Friday, they would be going out that day.

A box with 49 bags did show up, as promised, but so far the remainder have not and my emails are not being responded to. I'm getting a bit irritated at having to make long distance phone calls to these people in order to get them to live up to their end of the deal.

When I ordered the bags, I told James that I was in no hurry, as long as I got them before the summer months when I would likely need them for shipments of orders and when we start our show circuit. I believe 4 months to get 100 bags made and shipped to me was not too unreasonable of a request to make.

As for the lack of contact on their part, I don't believe there is any excuse for that.
