i just purchased my first corn snake and i got it over the inter-net at www.gherps.com this is the web site for glade herps. the snake arrived second day air express by ups it is a 2ft red albino corn snake and it arrived approx. 9:45am on a tuesday, it was shipped on monday. it was packaged in a cardboard box in this box was a styro-foam type cooler inside the cooler was newspaper and in the newspaper was a soft cloth bag secured with a plastic tie-wrap. the snake was alive and well, very healthy in appearance and no mites or ticks very good coloration and very tame, it loves to crawl all around you while it is being held. if you are looking for a pet snake i highly reccommend you to look and see what glade herps has to offer. the phone support is great and they are very friendly and knowledgable. 6867.html Posted At 17:24:45 08/06/2001 Visit the store one time, its quite a differant story. Not the cleanest place, i have seen animals so dehydrated they looked like death. Old moldy feces in cages and the owner is not a nice guy, unless you are blond and have a huge rack!! He sold me a sick boa, i took it back and he sold it again. They keep thier feeders outside in dirty cages and i seen mites on quite a few snakes in there. He does have a good selection however, and you may get lucky once and a while, time will tell in your case. Good luck, hope ya have better luck then me. I once try to buy a rat pinky, he had em, but said he would charge me the same price for that rat pinky, as he would a full size rat, $3.75. Well one of his employees, knows hes a greedy ole fart and he cut me a break and sold it to me for a buck, nice guy!! I would keep that snake ya baught from them , away from anything elese you have for a while. |

6909.html Posted At 00:51:37 08/07/2001 I've been doing business with Glades Herp for about 8 years, and have always been happy with their service as well as the snakes I've purchased from them. They are one of the few places that have never sent me mites, ever, and that I appreciate! |

6981.html Posted At 01:41:57 08/08/2001 I have delt with Glade herps alot. I have never recieved a sick snake. I have bought many rattlers, and a few colubrids from them. All were heaalthy, and feeding. I didnt see any mites or ticks, but the rattler I didnt get a throuhg ceck on as I didnt handle it. She is still here and it has been a year. Still no mites, ticks, or refused to eat any one time. |

6995.html Posted At 13:33:25 08/08/2001 I have purchased snakes from Glades on numerous occasions and have been very pleased with the level of service as well as the specimens I received. In fact earlier this year I received a few captive bred baby Amazons that have thrived and are getting prettier with every shed. However, as far as their facility, I have never been there in person so I cannot comment on this. |

7037.html Posted At 07:39:14 08/09/2001 I have travelled to Florida on a number of occasions from the UK, and have visited Glades Herp twice, and both times I was treated very well, and although they were busy, still had time to show me around, and I even came back another day, as I was invited to see there breeding facility. I have alot of time for Rob and mike etc.. And have bought dried goods from them as well as Snakes. GOOD GUYS! |

7051.html Posted At 19:49:39 08/09/2001 I've purchased animals from Glades with no problems whatsoever. My most recent acquisition from them was a pair of neonate monocle cobras. Both snakes were everything that they were represented to be, and then some! Mike was very courteous and took time out from his schedule to send me pictures of each available cobra and filled me in on the background of the clutch. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Glades again, or to recommend them to a prospective buyer. |

9267.html Posted At 21:46:12 09/20/2001 Well i use to live in Fort Myers and when glades was in the big warehouse across from the shell factory it was immaculate.now it is a dirty and crapped place.2 yearsago i ordered a peruvian redtail boa and 2 baby balls, all arrived by ups at 7pm (suppose to be before noon which i payed extra for) They were underweight and loaded with mites, needless to say i had a very hard time getting the boa to eat,on x-mas eve i was so stressed with her i went to a vets office that was open and they gave her a shot.she did really good after that, when i got some weight on her and rid her of her mites i sold all 3. when you are in the store they will treat you nice and help you if you want something expensive,i was looking at some corns one day and the owner asked an employee near me what i was checking out the employee says in a sarcastic tone "just corns and looked at me and snubbed me.And the person who wrote about the moldy crap in the tanks is not lying, but forgot to ad the small crampped tanks the animals are in..I do not like creating bad press but when i see animal neglect it really gets to me...its all for the money there, which i understand, but care for the animal also not just the mighty dollar |
