This man has a 1.0 Irian Jaya Carpet Python up for sale on the Kingsnake.com Python classifieds. He states that this snake is proven, which is a total lie. It was traded to him by WSReptiles. I know these men personally, because we live near each other, and they raised this Carpet Python from a baby, and it has NEVER been bred. So be cautious, because things, as seen here, are not always what they are told to be. |

7213.html Posted At 13:49:10 08/12/2001 HATS OFF TO YOU! I think it is great when people pay attention to details like this. I will have to confess, I knew of a snake (Col. Boa) that was sold to another individual. This snake was no more than 5 1/2 to 6 foot TOPS. I later see the same snake on the classifieds as a 8 footer that was proven. My confession is that I did not email the guy to let him know that I knew he waws lying. I figured it was none of my business and I would stay out. In hind sight, I know I should have said something and I compliment you for doing the same here! B Oakley |

Corey is the kind of person that doesn't need to lie to sell animals he has a great reputation in the Herp community for dealing honestly w/ people and selling top notch animals. |

Have you even spoken to Corey about it? It's silly posts like this where people jump to conclusions that bring the integrity of this board down. This isn't the Board of Gossip or the Board of Hearsay. It's supposed to be a place that potential customers can get a feel for the reputation of a given dealer. This type of post is useless unless the person has ACTUAL facts that can be backed up. If Justin truly suspects something he should be contacting Corey, not posting here first. Also, how does Justin know that Corey wasn't told it was proven by the seller? Bottom line, there are too many questions unanswered to be posting such a statement here. Corey is a good guy in this business and shouldn't be subjected to such a ridiculous statement. Kris |

In my dealings with Corey, I've found him to be what some would describe as "honest to a fault", and I call holding himself to the highest standards of integrity. He will cost himself a sale rather than misrepresent an animal. Corey Estill is by far one of the "good guys". |

When I was trading it to Corey.. he told me that he had no use for a carpet as he doesnt keep them. I told him he could just resell it as soon as he got it. And when he got it, it went up there for sale. At first it wasnt proven.. then after 2 weeks of not being able to sell it,it turned proven. I am not saying Corey is a bad guy. I am pleased with what I got in the trade. And in the past I bought a pair of black bloods from Corey which I am also very pleased with. I got a labyrinth BUrmese in trade. I assume you all saw it up for sale for a while on Kingsnake. But that snake and the bloods that were sold to me were all sold to me as proven. Now has got me thinking if my snakes I got from him really are proven. Not a big deal... proven to me isnt much of a big deal. Thats why I dont see why he has to say the Irian Jaya is proven to sell it. The snake is almost 3 yrs old.. I have raised it myself. And it is still almost a solid red coloration. It is well worth the $150 he wants for it. I advise you Corey to post a picture with the next add on kingsnake, and the snake should sell. It is an excellent specimen and WILL make a great breeder this season. Just my 2 cents worth to set all this straight. |

He never wanted the carpet from you in the first place, but you couldn't come up with the cash that would be needed to make the deal right and also didn't send his animal back. I could have come up with the money, I told him to give me a week to sell the Irian or take the Irian. He didnt want the Irian but I told him he could just sell the snake and he agrred. He could have waited for me to sell it. I dont want any arguements... so whatever. He can sell the snake however he wants. I dont care if its albino tomorrow. I am out of this. |

I was trying to find some females for him but could not, so I'm selling him. Now I did get a carpet from Matt as well in a trade that went bad, but that one is long gone at a local show. |
