I just want to thank Greg Gibbs publicly for being a “good guy”. I bought 0.10 BP yearlings from him last week and it was the best deal I have had so far. When I originally saw the deal I called and spoke with Greg. He was really down to earth and explained that someone was already interested, but if the deal fell thru, I could have them. I told him that I was interested but I couldn’t have them sent yet due to the lack of space. He said if I bought them, he would hang onto them for a month if I needed. The deal fell thru and the snakes were now mine. Greg and I spoke a couple more times in between and we shot the breeze about snakes in general and where we saw ourselves going in this hobby. It was refreshing to meet someone who cared about where his snakes were going. I proceeded to build a rack system (http://members4.boardhost.com/herpbytes/msg/114.html) that Greg actually told me about. When I was done I called Greg and said I was ready to receive the females. He said he had a few deals going and that if I could wait for a couple days so that he could make the run to the airport (3 hrs from his home) for all his dealings to occur in one day, he would appreciate it. I said sure. Monday was the day. I was called by Greg’s wife (nice lady) on the day of shipment with all of the pertinent details and waited for the snakes to come. I picked up the box from SFO and opened it to find lots of moving cloth bags. Needless to say, I was excited. I got home and before I was out of the car, Greg’s wife called to see if I had gotten them safely. I was blown away at the attention to detail that Greg showed for a small deal. When all was said and done, Greg sent me 2 awesome looking males for free because he thought that I would treat them well. I was impressed with all that I saw in this deal and I wouldn’t hesitate to deal with Greg again, that is for sure. |
