I did a search for tim mcbride on this board, and heard some pretty horrible things, i want to know if he has changed his ways, and if he has resolved any of the bad deals he had. Please respond with any information you have on this individual.

Thanks, Matt Butler.

Matt,

He kills rattlesnakes and sells skins, heads, and other parts as novelties. I would bet he does other herps as well. Thats all that matters. He is someone that should be avoided at all cost. Get the address to his web-site and he says the exact same thing. Ciao.

His website is the boaworks site? right? Im asking because a friend of mine has a deal with him, and when i heard the name Tim mcbride when he filled out his money order, i remembered some bad things being posted about him on here. I just hope he actually recieves the snakes. Thanks for the response.

Matt.

Hi Andrew, its actually Tim McDaniel (aka Reptile Ranger) that you're thinking of.

I DO NOT know Tim, but I find a couple things very curious. One, you will not be able to get onto his site. It has been shut down by himself or someone else. Second, doesn't it ever make anyone wonder how a man can have the SAME SNAKES for sale for over a year. He talks about this melanistic boa (may or not be, who knows), has been asking $3000 for it for about 2 years, but yet NEVER has offspring from it. Tim's ad that he put up the other day is the first one I have seen in MONTHS that has something different on it. With that in mind, his ad also says that his hets were produced from a "ghost albino boa" (I am quoting his ad). I would like to know how that is possible considering ghosts came out last year. He woquld of had to raise one up, breed it to a albino, raise the offspring and breed them together. He did ALL this in less than a YEAR!?!?! Come on. Unless there is something in the ad/"ghost albino boa" I am missing, I say it is a crock! Tim claimed to be partners with Jeremy Stone on many projects. At one time I THINK they did breed a pair that were on breeder loan or co-owned. I spoke to Jeremy last year and he says BS on that. That came DIRECTLY from Jeremy. Just too many things that make me wonder.

I dealt with Tim McDaniel... I bought a pair of ball pythons from me, I got a subadult male, and an adult male ball... I emailed him, and said I got a male male pair, and that they were skinny, and had mites... he said quit whining etc etc... the smaller one died, I still got the older one... it just was a bad deal.. I paid 65 shipped for both, I guess thats what I get... but tim mcbride, ahven't heard of him

Be very cautious!! He has ripped off a few people. His website (Boaworks.com)has also been pulled down?? I did not leave a name because you really don't need one for what I wrote. Besides I wouldn't want to be included in the daily soap opera that is taking place on this site. If you do deal with him, I hope it turns out alright for you.

Tim bought a pair of NON genetic stripe tailed boas from me about 2-3 years ago. Several months later, they were posted on kingsnake as Proven genetic striped boas purchased from Pete Kahl. I e-mailed him (Different e-mail addy) and asked for pics, same ones I sold him. I decided NEVER to buy from him. ERIC
