Hi all, Some of you may have seen my post on the general discussion forum in refernce to a deal where I was asking if you thought I got screwed. That was indeed in reference to a deal with Brian Oakley... the deal was a very good deal and the snakes were honestly represented and arrived as promised. The only problem was with the shippers negligence and they arrived D.O.A. Brian and I had a HUGE misunderstanding because of an e-mail I sent to him with a photo of the animals that he overlooked. By him not seeing that e-mail, and me thinking he did, it changed the whole outlook on the situation. We communicated on the good old telephone tonight (new concept to us computer users huh? LOL) and we did clear everything up and have a new deal pending where Brian is going to help me try and make up some of my loss on the D.O.A. Not everyone will do that and I appreciate it. I never thought Brian was a bad guy that's why I never posted it here, it was just a misunderstanding because of that one e-mail that was overlooked. I plan on doing more business with Brian in the future and I recommend him to anyone else also. Thanks for reading this, John Staursky Austin,TX |

8750.html Posted At 11:44:33 09/06/2001 Sorry John. But I disagree with you.Why you have to pay for the courier mistakes? Do you select the shipping courier? Now you have to buy more snakes from him, "to be helped caching your loss", remember like I see in one of this add in this forum How much a snake what cost him few dollars to produce is sell for? He never going to loss even if you get a break in the next deal and you will ending pay twice for that. People learn. DON"T BUY FROM THOSE WHAT DON"T GUARANTEES YOUR MONEY. |

8751.html Posted At 12:05:27 09/06/2001 Carlos, If you paid any attention what so ever you would have read that John stated I made sure that Airborne did not bill him due to their error. And thye did not. Not that I have to explain anything to you, but John is purchasing a pair of snakes at a discounted price to make up for his loss before. HE FEELS like I have made good and that is what is important. I am shipping them at MY EXPENSSE as well through a carrier of HIS CHOICE! I also offered to replace the $100 that he speant before and he declined my offer and decided to get the snakes. Now, with that said, tell me where he is not being treated fairly! Another case of you not knowing what you are talking about. B Oakley |

8755.html Posted At 12:25:50 09/06/2001 Carlos, I just want you to tell me with the inforamtion you have how I treated him wrong. I offered to replace the money (all $100) and he declined. I then said I could sell him another pair of snakes at a discounted price (discounted $100) and he decided to go the way. Tell me here in this public forum how I am wrong! B Oakley |

8756.html Posted At 12:38:20 09/06/2001 Carlos, I feel I have been treated very fairly by Brian, we talked and decided on something fair and I'm sure we will do a lot of business in the future because it's hard to find a guy you can trust in this business/hobby. Brian, like I was telling you...lol... this forum is a drama center, people just love to argue... he he he... don't get caught up in this, you did the right thing and that's all that matters. Carlos, thanks for you're comments also, but I feel we made good on our deal and Brian is a good guy. Take care guys, happy herping! John Staursky |
