2 weeks ago, I sent Frank Flanigan a shipment of reptiles for $6500, which he paid for with 2 cashiers checks. A couple of days ago, my bank informed me that the cashiers checks were counterfeit and the money was withdrawn out of my account. Does anyone have any information about this guy or how to contact him? I've tried calling and emailing him with no results. This is a federal offense and because of the amount involved, also a felony with jail time if convicted. Can you believe this guy is willing to risk all that? In the mean time, I'm out $6500, which is very hard to deal with. I'm sick and tired of all these rip off artists in our business. I encourage anyone who has been ripped off in any way to take as much action as possible against them. At least contact a credit agency to go after them. Usually, it won't cost you anything if you don't collect anything. People like this need to go down and stop ruining our business. WHEN I get one my bank types it out in front of me and it is backed by the bank. Did he steal blank checks from a lending company or bank.Anyway good luck. Mike |

9381.html Posted At 19:17:02 09/25/2001 Garrick, I had a lady send me a cashiers check , a few days later I was informed it had been cancelled!!! The bank told me a person can put a stop payment on it just like a check. Luckily the lady showed up at my house with the cash, she blamed the bank. I now make sure all forms of payment clear my bank before shipping. Garrick I live in WI also and we have the same friends so I know you through them. I have been ripped off 4 times. When I go to the bigger shows I have them paged. Payback's a b-tch.. One guy that owed me answered his page at the Daytona Expo the first year there, I got my animals back. Charles Salmon is next on my list.. Charles come out , come out wherever you are.. evens snakes come out to bask. |
