As in my post below, he's been faking customer testimonials supporting his business, as well as insulting people under fake names. Posted At 17:11:01 02/03/2001 I can't say that I've ever had an issue with JeffB or any of his sites. On the contrary, I've found Jeff to be a rather nice guy. Over the course of the past year, we have exchanged some emails on vaious herp-related subjects. I don't know of many others who would have been noble enough to pay $10,000 out-of-pocket over the course of two years to keep the NRAAC afloat. I know nothing of the circumstances of your beef with Jeff, but my best guess is that it would be due to some recent forum posts. Since I don't wish to get further involved in the matter, I'll just leave it at that. As for Al- you need to choose your words a bit more carefully. There are legal ramifications to what you have posted if you are unable to substantiate it. However, Carri is wrong- you do not have to "have statements from at least 51% of his clients stating that he screwed them." That is NOT the definition of "preponderance of evidence." However, you must be able to document that he has screwed at least one person and that his moral character is so utterly reprehensible as to render him a "scumbag". Not knowing Mr. Fragile or his business practices personally, I have no idea if you can substantiate your claims or not. For your own sake though, it would be best to either post some evidence, or a retraction. On a side note, I'd like to point out (for those who've been paying attention the python forum/classifieds), that albino Indian X Burmese pythons have been around since the late 80's, and are nothing that is relatively new or extraordinary. |

Posted At 19:18:16 02/04/2001 I traded My 12 foot retic for a male Indian with Stephen Fragile. The Retic was in excellent health and tame. The Indian is tame but not in the health he thought or I for that matter. It has a lower RI and I'm taking it to the vet tomorrow. I sent him an e-mail to see what his thoughts are on this matter. My thoughts are that he should pay the vet bill. That Indain was posted as flawless and doesn't have anything it shouldn't. I will wait and see what happens. Vincent |

Posted At 22:58:35 02/22/2001 Just for the record kingsnake.com is the best site I've ever used having to deal with reptiles. They could charge me 5 times what they do to post ads there and I'd still pay it (just don't tell them that ;). And there is no better place to find breeders, information, anything to do with reptiles. This is the one site I really would support in this way (excepting that I'm starting to like http://herpwantads.com/forums/Inquiry). |

I found out about a guy that replied to Jeff Grassis ad on Kingsnake and he also ordered a dragon and never got it. It cost him $325.00. My question is what can we do to stop a guy like this?? I also know of a guy from New York that got took. Grassis ads are still out there. I notified paypal and they are investigating. But he is out there...who is next..... |
