I use newspaper for the Boamaster Cages and I used it when I was using glass tanks.
With the tubs the problem is the newspaper is im not liking the look of it in the tubs I dont know it just sits with me funny I guess

I like SaniChips. I recently switched to a really cheap type of aspen shavings, but they mold very quickly when they get wet, so I'm switchin' back to the SaniChips. They're clean and they take a really long time to mold or get nasty...and it's easy to scoop poo.

i used very finely shredded aspen, similar to the zoomed aspen bedding... but a whole lot cheaper and much bigger quantities. newspaper is good but i'm extremely anal about looks and only use unprinted newspaper and it's not easy for me to get.

Sani Chips are great but I have switched to the cage liners. Bought in a big roll and cut it myself works great.

Newspaper works wonderful. I also use the paper, commercial type of hand paper towels. The same type found in public restrooms everywhere..

When I was working with a large number of snakes I chose newspaper 9 out of 10 times (for the ease of use). But with as few animals as I have now (14) I go with aspen. I use to mix aspen with cypress mulch also, worked well. I have been considering picking up a bag of cypress the next time I'm in town as it makes for a nice humid and decent looking setup.
