You have to update this thread when they hatch! I want to shoot for an albino onyx and an albino gargoyle and am working on similar projects. I'm hoping for albino BP's and Cinnys, or at least hets :/

Congrats on the lock!

Thanks Shelly! These 2 like each other a lot it seems...they've locked up a good 4-5 times since this pic was taken.

I'll keep it updated Nick. I'm not generally a fan of albino stuff, but I saw a picture of a red axanthic albino(that I can no longer find) that Corey Woods produced a while ago, and was a big fan of it. I think I can dig the gargoyle/onyx albino too with all the business...good luck with your projects.

I adore Red Axanthics.

Good luck on the project. Hope to see an update.

Thanks Ashley! I'm a big fan of het red and red axanthic stuff as well.

Baby got back!

No kidding Nick...you can't really tell too well from the pics, but it was an ENORMOUS ovulation. She looked like she swallowed a NERF football...and had the attitude as if she had.

Thanks Ted, I'm a big fan of het red stuff too...gorgeous on it's own, and does some funny stuff in combos sometimes. Definitely a cool morph.

Congrats on the ov! Can't wait to see what you get from this pairing!!

Neither can I Matt, thanks...a het red albino would be awesome, praying for a nice, big, healthy clutch.

She just finished laying a little while ago, 6 big, healthy eggs it seems...though I'm a bit concerned with how the veins run through 2 of them. There are veins on the inside of one half of them and none on the other, a first for me.

This clutch has been a bit of a roller coaster ride. As I posted when she laid, 2 of the eggs had pretty weak veining. One of them developed nice veins throughout, the other did develop some, but still very weak. That egg made it to day 32 and died off(was not an albino). Then a couple days later, I made a really boneheaded mistake that resulted in my incubator shooting up to 98-99 degrees for about a day. Got that all sorted out, and then on day 36-37, two of the eggs seemed to have softened up and caved in a bit(not quite dimpling, and not humidity related), so I made the decision to cut the eggs at this point...just tiny slits. It's been a nerve wracking wait ever since, and I've been checking on the eggs, keeping them hydrated, cleaning out any visible nastiness. The first baby just poked it's head out tonight, with the others soon to follow...and there is one albino. I cut the eggs open a bit more, and they all seem strong inside the egg...hoping they all come out ok and that I may have avoided the train wreck that very well could have been.

Looking good Rob! Not the best odds ever considering the parents, but at least you hit on a nice albino het red. I think it is a great accomplishment as well considering that crazy heat spike you had! Hope they all come out alright for you man!

Thanks Brendan...

So they're all out and looking good, except for the albino. It's out of the egg, but left behind half its yolk or better and is noticeably on the skinny side. It also looks a bit dehydrated.

Well after a little soak and being kept on moist towels overnight, he's looking a bit better...but REALLY thin. His belly is pretty sunken in, like nothing I've seen before. Hopefully he'll make it through his shed fine and get to eating quickly. Though definitely a last resort, I don't think I'll wait too long for him to eat on his own until I go to assist feeding...He definitely needs some food in that belly.

RobNJ

I went ahead and assist fed him the other night. Maybe a bit early, but he wasn't doing all that well, and was definitely running on empty. Since then, he's done a complete 180. With the meal in his belly and after drinking large quantities of water daily, he's looking almost as healthy as his siblings.

Wow. Very cool Rob. Great to hear and hope he gets eating on his own.

Yay!! So glad he's doing well! And congrats on the awesome clutch!

I've been thinking about getting into Red Axanthic Albinos but haven't decided if I'm going to do it yet or not. I think I'm gonna wait until someone (probably Oz) posts pictures of an adult.

So the albino het red axanthic just took his first meal on his own last week. After his rough start, low hatch weight(34 grams), dipping down to 28 grams and looking just awful, he's now had 2 meals on his own and is up to 38 grams. His energy is back, and his colors are coming back. Definitely were times over the past 2 months that I thought he was all but gone...
