Is this too expensive to use to determine related-ness among animals? If I wanted to know if my snakes were not genetically related too closely, are there any tests out there that don't cost a thousand dollars? Just curious! Don't think I'd need it done, but I wasn't sure if people have tried to test snakes or specifically balls for any genetic markers.
thanks!

Hm, there was a big thread about this not all that long ago.......the idea of being able to test snakes for genetic information, i.e. verifying hets and such. Though it is used to some extent on horses, dogs, etc. I don't know that anyone does it on any scale for snakes, from what I understand it has been done in more of a "test run" type of thing only. I'll try to find the thread for you, but I'm not very quick this morning, lol.
