It always ends up with the nose in the camera. :angry:

Steve you should try this...it works.

Get yourself a nice 8+ megapixel camera and stand back a few feet, then take the picture. With a high megapixel camera, you can always just crop it down to just the snake and it will still retain quality. :thumbsup:

Here's a tip that field herpers use. Get a plant pot or something similar that the snake can curl up under rather tightly. Put the snake under the pot and wait for a minute or two for them to settle down. Get your camera ready and when your ready to take the picture just lift up the pot and shoot away.

It works pretty good too. :D

You do not need a high megapixel camera to still get decent photos.

No, but to take the shot from a distance and then crop it way down to a "closeup" and not have it look "grainy", it really helps. ;)
