In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Guy Brunke AKA Guyco Gecko - Theif, liar, flipper

Let's hear from Guy. Where are you Mr. Brunke? Don't wanna comment on your little circus act? Oh wait---that's right, Erik is online, so you can't be.

I hope copyright suits rain down on the "pair" of you.

That would be awesome...These guys need a swift kick in their pants..

Given that the only posts the Erik account has made are to this thread, one could assume that either A: Erik is a long-time alias of Guy or more likely B: Guy knows Erik's password and is logged in as him.

LOL
i gave you my phone #

give me a call pepper!

;)

Or that their IS no Guy....And Erik is just a web designer that builds his sites with others' blocks and decided to branch out his shady-ass business into live animals. And Thus Guy Brunke was born.

you guys make me feel like i'm watching a discovery channel special or something with all your hair-brained theories! hahaha cracking me up

Guy just doesnt seem like the long term type. I would assume B is correct.

But I also think Eric is probably visiting AT Guy's home right now and only showed up here because Guy told him to. To admit that he's actually at Guy's house right now would be too revealing....so instead, he spins a whack story about how IP's work, trying to convince us that two men living an hour apart would somehow miraculously show the exact same IP.

I believe it's the other way around. The IP they have in common, from Cox, is the only IP Eric has recorded here, but Guy has a list of IPs all from Verizon, except this one from Cox.
They are both currently online right now and are both currently viewing this thread, Guy once again from a Verizon IP.

So the lag time between Guys posts were due to him driving home once the IP address business was brought up.

I'm going to go back and address the beginning of this thread because I'm just now reading the gist of it.

My personal opinion on the subject.

When you are a breeder you have little control where your babies end up. It's just a fact. I can understand someone wanting to guarantee what they produce go to other hobbyist and not wholesaled out or continually flipped. To the OP with respect, you just can't control that. Now, I applaud your position I just don't believe it is obtainable.

On the other hand, I don't believe someone who would misrepresent their intentions to secure an animal that you put conditions on is someone with great character. To the target of this thread, I have read your stated intentions that differ from what the OP has written and I'm not taking a position on it either way. I believe Harald addressed it very well in his post. Just stating in general. But this statement is obviously false when compared to the emails posted.
He never asked me to acknowledge what my intent was in buying it,

The bottom-line is that once you sell an animal it really is out of your hands. Ask those that have worked on very high dollar projects that tried to control the offspring to only have someone break with the agreements and sink the prices fast. It's just something you can't control.

I do think the offer to return the animal back to you based on your wishes for it was a reasonable solution. If you want the animal back.

As for the use of your picture, I agree. You have made it known that you don't want it used.

As for the low-ball statements. Yes, it is irritating. And yes, it has become more common place in this economy. To hobbyist and small breeders that put a lot of hard work into their projects it can be very insulting. To businesses it's par for the course. But, It isn't worthy of a bad guy post on its own. IMHO.

On to the website pictures that belong to other people. Well, I could give the benefit of the doubt and wait and see if they have obtained permission but by statements made early in this thread it would seem there is some confusion on part of the web designer on what is considered fair use.
So I would have my doubts.

as for the photos under the geckos page, that page, as far as i can tell, is for educational purposes only. guy did not need to include a page with information regarding the different geckos but he did so for the betterment of the community... you cannot purchase any geckos from that page and the photos are used to merely to show what that particular species of gecko looks like, typically.

my 2 cents

Nonetheless I am sure those gorgeous pictures Mr. Brunke stole have indeed seduced people into taking a longer look at his website. Im sure this in turn has contributed to his profits.

maybe, but we'll let the photos owners decide and if requested they will be replaced.

I would normally agree with you here, I am not one to usually get involved in these forums. However I think when you are hearing from multiple different breeders about one person in particular who is continually sending low-ball (very low-ball) offers on a variety of animals in hopes of flipping them to make a profit then there is something to be said about that person and their business ethics.

If I go to a steakhouse I don't order the filet mignon and then ask the owner of the business to give it to me for 30-40% off. If I can't afford the dish then I order a cheaper dish or I don't eat out and save my money until I can afford the dish I want.

Thanks,
Derek

To let them decide, they will have to be made aware - are you going to make that effort...or just say that nobody complained so it must be okay?

Thank you, Derek! Maybe Eric and Guy can understand it when you put it in that more simple perspective!!
