In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info Ashley Caspillo-SakaraGT4/Sakara *Possible Buyer Beware!*

...and you can pretty much copy/paste Sally_Dog's comment for a follow up :) I agree, it IS frustrating to see someone act like there's nothing wrong on the ONE forum the info can't be shared, when there are problems to be addressed.
I don't agree with, but will respect the decisions on RTB and others that wish to follow suit.

Yes but the problem I have with Ashley is that she is not just a bad breeder, she is a manipulative bad breeder who can fool people into thinking she is a trustworthy! Especially if they are new or just reading her posts on RTB.net. That's why in my mind it is so important for those new in this hobby to be made aware of this vitally important information. I may be beating a dead horse, and this may be my last kick at it, but that is my stance and I think it is worth beating the dead horse on this because it pertains to the life and death of people's collections.

They were closed BECAUSE we brought it to the attention of the members the snakes were NOT properly QT'd and kept with a snake that died of reported IBD. It was considered "off topic" in relation to the auction threads. The other thread regarding IBD was also closed.

The posts on the first thread were deleted regarding the IBD, and the threads remain.
.

So let me see if I understand this (as I cannot view the deleted posts...)

Posts indicating the boid up for auction might have been exposed to IBD were deleted, and the reason given is "not needed"?!?!

So people who may not have ever heard of the BOI are bidding on an animal that may wipe out their entire collections, and are forced by moderators to remain blissfully unaware?!?!

Donnie clearly you can see where I am coming from with my accusations?

Allowing Sakara to reopen an auction allows me to believe you tried to mislead us with your claims that her auctions were closed. Closed but allowed to reopen at her discretion equal not really closed.

I am not saying RTB.net needs to do anything to spread the word, but allowing the conversation to take place takes less effort than supressing it does.

Donnie was NOT the Admin responsible for the deletions, and I don't know that he was even aware of it untill after the fact.

But THAT is one of the reasons I know people are getting the impression RTB is shielding Ashley.

I don't believe they intentionally shielding Ashley, but from THAT instance, I can see why people feel that way.

No, he is just the poor guy that had to come over here and take the beating for all the rest. He is a stand up guy for that.

As I said I do not think they are shielding her either, but they appear to be trying hard to act as though nothing is wrong.

Again, Donnie, what has me riled is that posts that contained information of possible IBD were deleted in an auction thread related to that snake. I understand it may be TOS to allow "conversation" posts, and not strict bids, but COME ON! That is a perfect illustration of a zero tolerance policy at its very worst.

For the record..

I know it might *seem* like RTB.net is trying to shield Sakara, what they are really trying to do is avoid drama, which I can totally understand.

Personally, as long as all future ads from Ashley are deleted immediately upon posting, I see no problem in the way RTB.net is approaching the situation.

Absolutely.

I would expect nothing less, until her collection is cleared. They know, the ball remains in their court...

Did you have any problems with the snake? Any mites?

No, I didn't. She's in good health. I do hope I have the right person, though. The Sakara I bought her from was very much into boas, I remember, but I did not inquire about any as I have always been more of colubrid girl.

I've never sold any corns?

HAHAHA! After all that has been going on in this thread, THAT is all you have to say? And with a question mark at the end of your statement, I take it you probably don't even remember selling any corns, because you have had so many snakes in and out of that place! Unless you have some kind of proof to prove otherwise! HAH!

LMFAO!! WOOOOW! LMAO!

I'm just saying... I've never sold a corn and don't know how someone would have bought one from me if I've never sold one...

Ashley, aside from waiting until January for the bloodwork to be done on the rest of your collection, what are your plans for them?

What happens when another one pops up with IBD? What happens to those that are "negative"?

I would like to know, since we finally got your attention talking about corn snakes. I am not even going to get into how ridiculous it is that that finally got your attention. But, I guess I will take what it can get for the moment and try to work from that.

Not selling snakes right now is great and all, but what is the long term goal for all of this? If even one of those animals comes back as a positive from the blood test, all of them have it. You can pretty much guarantee it.

So, then what?

Mass culling?

Shutting down breeding?

What is it?

I suppose the questions seem pressured, but they should not be. My husband and I already have our plan set in stone if our collection is hit one day because it is a very real possibility that any collection at any given time can be hit by it. That is what makes this whole situation so frustrating. I really wish you could see that beyond your bruised ego and stubborness.

Selling any of those animals or their offspring, the Bolivians included, is like someone sleeping with someone knowing they have a STD. Do you get that? You knowingly put other people's collections at risk and, really, what did you get out of it? Monetary gain? Really? Is that all it amounts to for you? It is a sickening thought, really.

I think I might be less annoyed if you just admitted you do not give two cents worth a :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored:. But instead, you are trying to save face that just plain is not there and make yourself look vicitimized. Let me tell you, girlie, that is about as far from the truth as it gets.

Honestly? Making mistakes happens, even huge ones, but what defines us adults, as compassionate people, is what we do to own up to and to correct them. You are not willing to own anything, not even yourself. That is just ... sad.

Ashley your username is not very common, and someone in your area says they bought a corn from you. You clearly had rescue corns at some point, yet they aren't on your iherp page which you seem to update so much. If you still have them, where are they? :shootfoot

If I'm not mistaken they would have come from the Arlington raid on US Global Exotics Dec. 17 2009. I haven't seen them since that post w/ pics. To Becca: aka windowswisher, was one in the photos one of the snakes you purchased?

I think it's already been pretty well established Ashley commonly "rescues" animals only to "flip" them a short while later.
