    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Has anyone else experienced a "rep power" reduction? I'm down to less than a fifth of what I had yesterday and no bad karma (lately :/ ). Did I screw up or is this a glitch? Thanks.
 
Just noticed the same problem! Wondering what I possibly could've done? Actually mine was rep power, not trader rating , is that the same?
 
Sorry, I had to change the values used to calculate the karma power. That needs to be done every once in a while. I had an issue with some people apparently trying to abuse the system, so while I was in there......

Why not just adjust those who were abusing the system versus everyone which I could only guess were the majority who were not abusing the system?

The entire system needs to be reviewed every now again as this site matures. For instance, giving someone 10 karma power points for reaching a milestone of making 100 posts here seems like a good idea when a site is first starting out and needs to provide such incentives. However, 10 years later when people have posts in the 5 digit range, then that same value distorts the value of the system.

Seriously, is everyone here resistant to ANY change?
 
Oh whew. I'm so proud of myself. I was about to send a PM to a mod about the number drop, when I remembered we have a forum for this stuffs. Yay I didn't get invisible neg karma and I give myself 2 brownie points for using the appropriate resources to get my answer. :D
