In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I forgot that animal abuse was legal

And according to PETA, putting a dog on a leash is cruelty. According to the Hindi, eating a cow is sacriledge.

If you don't want to support rodeos, then don't. I find well run rodeos to be fine as far as animal treatment. Of course, there will be those that claim because they managed to find rodeos that have questionable treatment of the animals that means that every rodeo is full of heartless abusers who glory in killing animals whenever possible.

Many rodeo animals are practically pampered, mainly because they bring in money to the owners. Many rodeos are mere showcases for actual working abilities of horses. But it's much easier to post a video showing some abuses/accidents/incidents and then say that all rodeos are horrible.

It's distasteful to me, since I see all the Animal Rights Extremists who post videos of reptile keepers who neglect/abuse their reptiles, then state that we all are heartless cruel people who consider our reptiles to be throwaway worthless creatures. The same thing that they do by showing video of a person beating their pet dog and implying that all dog owners abuse their pets as well.

Don't really know why I bother replying to this in the first place.

I actually really enjoy rodeos! There are some that treat their animals really well.

True to that!! There are horses that need jobs as much as some breeds of dogs. They need that mental stimulation or they end up with behavioral issues.

Really? I wanna talk to them. I had to rehome my Corn Snake a month ago, but I want her back. I miss her SO MUCH!!!!

There's soooo much more animal cruelty that is widespread and not isolated incidents in things like rodeos - just look at Spanish bullfighting compare to this! Stabbing a bull a ton to make it mad and then just letting it die of massive blood loss is a spectator sport there. Absolutely awful. And aside from that, most bull rings do have pampered animals. The ones that don't are the ones you want to avoid, or the specific handlers in question.

Compared to other animal rights issues - like industrial animal farming, animal shelter "gas chambers", general pet owner ignorance resulting in dead or sick animals nationwide, people poisoning their neighbors' dogs, etc etc - rodeos are really, REALLY is low on the list compared to other forms of animal abuse, neglect, and willful ignorance that happen every day. So even though bad things do happen at rodeos, they're not as common as the video makes them out to be. It's like asking for an end to the animals that really do enjoy it and have great handlers. Without working conditions, a lot of them will suffer and have psychological damage. Same with trying to stick a hunting or herding working dog in a house "for protection" only to find it destroys everything and goes ballistic every time it sees a mouse.

I admit, there are better ways certain aspects can be handled when it comes to rodeos, however the vast majority are not "legalized abuse". So long as you have a respectful bull or horse handler and decent people working the shows, issues and abuse are minimal and totally dependent upon the individual instead of the show as a whole.

Didn't mean to type so much, sorry. :)
