I wish to verify that brian lee and james earl are indeed different people. I am not one to call people out without reason, and I am firmly against the unscrupulous business practices of which I was on the rotten end of. If james earl and brian lee are one in the same, people deserve to know, and with that knowledge decide whether or not to do business with him. I am not exactly sure why you are demanding that he proves who he says he is. Since you are the one accusing him shouldn't you be the one to prove he is indeed the same person. Just because you have a "suspicion", that is all it is...he has no reason to show you anything at all. If he is who he says he is, he owes you nothing, so why should be even bother to address you at all...I wouldn't.

If your problem is with the "brother" take it up with him. You are threatening a lawyer so why not take him to court? If he is indeed the same person, either way, you'll have your answers.

There are too many things pointing to one person using two identities. The "brother" has blocked all options of contact. Since the same phone number and address were used, I think its obvious that James needs to prove who he is...simple enough since we frequent the same pet store, and a drivers license is easy to show. He's never even mentioned letting the "brother" use his phone or even addressed why they would have the same mobile number. The OP and I are not the only ones given this abandoned house address either. If someone were pending legal action against me and my sibling over something I didn't do, my first priority would be to clear my name, especially if the resolution were this simple.

You're not in a retail store...and since LP does not stop someone to empty their pockets unless they actually SEE a person taking something, it's really comparing apples and oranges....and you have not witnessed him posing as someone else.
Personally, if it were me that you were doing this to, I'd feel quite badgered, possibly harassed...since he has stated that he does not need to prove anything to someone he does not know, I think your best course of action would be to contact your lawyer friend. Maybe there is something you can do that can actually get something accomplished. I don't believe what he has said, but you cannot squeeze blood from a rock. Good luck.

I hate to "throw people under the bus" but when someone deserves it this is the only way to let others know. Sunday night I seen an ad in the Pythons section of a guy selling most of his collection. He was selling retics, boas, kings, a hogg, a tegu, and 8 four foot boamasters for $500 !!!!! I sent him a pm as quick as I could to make sure this price was accurate for all these snakes and cages. He replied to me that the price was correct and if I had any questions to just ask. I called him while I was at work on Monday and what I thought was going to be a short phone call turned into over an hour conversation. This was great because I would like to get a feel of who I am selling my snakes too also. He proceeded to tell me that he was a disabled vet and his wife was active Navy and they had to move quickly because of a duty change. He then told me that I would have to bring a big truck or trailer and a friend to help carry the cages downstairs because he was disabled. I told him that would be no problem and I would be there Wed. or Thurs. to pick everything up. So far everything is going well. I then proceeded to set everything up to be able to pick up the snakes and cages. Got my truck and trailer ready, got a friend to help, gtt the snake room ready to accept 8 more cages etc...... I call back Tuesday to confirm everything is still a go. NO ANSWER or a callback ! I leave him another pm on Fauna and still NO ANSWER. Hmm....wonder if everything is ok ? I proceed to call his phone and pm him on Fauna at least 3 times everyday with NO RESPONCE ! Today is now Thurs. and I load up my trailer and drive 50 minutes to the address he gave me. I arrive at his house and walk up to the front door to look thru the window to see that the house is EMPTY !!!!! I am now pissed off beyond belief !!! I go back home and get on Fauna to see who this guy knows so I can find out where he went and get an answer on why he would do this to someone in the reptile community. I found out who he sold the collection to on Fauna and am not upset with the buyer at all, in fact the buyer was sorry he bought the collection knowing now that I had already told the seller that I was buying it. I just want everyone on Fauna to know that this guy is a total dirtbag and to stay away from him if possible. I know he keeps venomous too so please beware of this guy on the venomous forum too. The reptile community is a tight knit group who needs to look out for each other when a dirtbag like this with no morals shows up.

I have to row against the waves here. I would have been pissed as well. Any way you could get the buyer to post here, Bryan? I'm wondering if the house was empty when the buyer showed up. Also I found it unacceptable that the seller claims to have had no time to contact Bryan while his kool-aid soaked phone was ,what, being fixed, or drying out on a shelf somewhere? Meanwhile James Earl was PMing another buyer, at which point he could have PMed Bryan while his fingers were still dancin' round the keyboard and saved him the trouble of arranging to collect the snakes. Extremely inconsiderate James. Also, I don't believe the "brother" story for a second.

Wow ok i just saw this. Now i have no intention of returning discourtesy with discourtesy but you are not telling people the facts. First when we talked i told you they were available your right. But i also didn't promise anything. Second you said you were going to call me back to make sure in which i never talked to you again. Now your right that is partly my fault as my daughter dropped my cell in a glass of grape kool aid so i have not talked to anyone in 2 days. Why you would have driven all the ay down without even talking to me in 2 days is a little odd to me but i can't say i feel responsible for you not using common sense. Now since i had not talked to you i got a PM and the man wanted to by them he showed up and i sold them and i'm not going to feel bad about it either. I think my reputation on here is pretty good. I have been honest paid for what i have bought and went above and beyond to make good on the things i have sold. So if you want to have at me feel free as i am not going to lose any sleep over it. If people want to do business with me fine if not i respect that too but you are not telling the whole truth and that is something i will not return in kind. You were in an empty house all day? You didn't hear Bryan knock on the door? News to you? By the way, do you say the words "I promise" every time you tell someone you will do something for them? When you don't show up to pick your brother up when he is released from prison (hypothetical situation obviously), just tell him you "didn't promise anything".

A shoplifter is accused when an employed witness or owner has seen them steal or they are caught on camera, at which point if the store hasn't enough legal authority to act, the local and state police do. What is "absurd" is the thinking that an accused shoplifter has to prove nothing. If this were the case, stores would go broke from loss of merchandise. Also, this isn't Judge Judy. If everyone here practiced the "innocent until proven guilty" standard, these threads would be alot shorter thus robbing many self proclaimed hotshots here of their entertainment.

The address that James Earl gave me was a foreclosed and empty house. The problem with this guy is that he is still giving people this same address 2 months after I went there ! This is a local guy to us who is lieing to people who live less than 20 min. from him and go to the same pet store as we do. He does need to step up and meet the people he is dealing with cause its just a matter of time before we see him at the pet store and the word is already out locally who this guy is.

The address that James Earl gave me was a foreclosed and empty house. The problem with this guy is that he is still giving people this same address 2 months after I went there ! Can you post pictures of the house in relation to the street address (street sign) and a mailing label from a box with your name on it (and the return label and name of course) So as to verify that the house is vacant/empty; and the address is still being used and by whom (the label should have an address on it to show that it's a recent use).

I was at James house maybe 2-3 days before Bryan said he went out there. Everything was stocked in the house, nothing was packed (at least from the parts I saw), and the only things I saw leave, was what I purchased. Yes, it is possible that he could have moved out in a couple days.

In regards to Bryan going to an empty house, if you talked to James as long as you said you did, I'm sure you got the same details I did (I also think it was in the ad). The reason he was selling everything so cheap is because he had to move and he had to move quick. The time line here CLEARLY shows he gave you the address when he was still living there Monday when you two talked (I know because I was there that afternoon) and it was a first come - first serve from what I understand. You did not talk to him since that Monday when you drove out there that Thursday.

Now, knowing the details of him having to move, and the lapse in time between contact (Mon-Thurs), it is VERY likely that he moved before you made your trip out there so your allegation of a phony address has no ground. Not to mention, you never made contact with him to verify if the address is still good before you drove out there, so claiming he gave you a phony address is a BOLD statement. I bought the stuff that was holding up his move so how is it unlikely that he moved after I purchased the enclosures?

The house I went to was the address you gave me at Wickwood Rd.

This was the same location I went to and the house was occupied. In fact, when we were packing the snakes, one was lost and James found it maybe a week later so he was at this address after Bryan had been there.
