In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I don't remember ever purchasing these before, but the store had them on sale so I bought a package. 3 ounces each, frozen, already cooked burgers, all you have to do is microwave them and pop them onto a hamburger bun and add ketchup, cheese, etc.

The idea is wonderful. It doesn't take that long to fry burgers, but if you are only making one, 60 seconds of microwaving saves time over almost anything else.
I'd rate them about 2 stars out of 5. They were too greasy and while they tasted OK, they didn't taste as good as pan friend and definitely not as good as outside-grilled.
There are now burger joint reviews that lyrically describe really really good burgers, and these are definitely not really good. But for a fast meal if you don't want to cook, they are maybe better than a can of almost anything.

I've found more little bone pieces or hard grissle or whatever it is when using the pre-cooked frozen patties instead of just buying raw ground beef. So I think 2 out of 5 is a very fair rating and I agree, possibly even 1.5 out of 5, the only real benefit is that they are pre-sized/shaped and quick to cook.*

*edit - I've only pan fried them

i honestly have to say i would rather take the 60 sec to make a fresh patty then use those patties for two solid reason: 1 the meat that is used for them is ussually the left over scraps from cutting the carcus.
2 the taste of microwaved meat; tastes off to me :shrug01:

Eww.

For a quick burger fix, I like the Bubba Burgers from wally world. I dump some garlic herb seasoning on there, and it's done in just a few minutes. I'm pretty picky about my ground beef, and this stuff is pretty good. No gross looking bits like you find in ground beef that's packaged in opaque tubes.

Thanks for the review. I know to steer clear of 'em!

Stuff like that is o.k. if you're in a rush. Not something I would make a habit of. For me, I like my beef rare or medium rare. Burgers like that are fully cooked. Hmm, maybe I will fire up the grill tomorrow. Now I'm thinking about cheeseburgers, em em good.

Brian you are right, grilled is the best.
My project when the weather gets cooler is to find a replacement grill part that is more lightweight. I have a grill/smoker and it is solid iron, hundreds of pounds. Lifting off the grill which is probably around 35 lbs, in order to put in the charcoal/wood chunks, is getting too much for me, I haven't grilled as much as I wanted to this year.

Here is the grill I have. I've had it for at least 20 years. Still works great. I have a feeling I will be using it this weekend.

Maybe what I should do is get a smaller grill for cooking for myself, and leave the big iron one for when my sons come over and we cook more stuff.
I'm glad you showed a pic of yours.

I got one just like it today!!! I have a feeling I will be using mine this weekend as well. It is nice and lightweight.
It is not a replacement for the big iron grill, that one excels at smoking and longer cooking times and handling one or several briskets. But for just plain grilling I'm thinking this will be perfect. Thank you for posting the pic.:)

It's really a good grill. I've had mine at least 20 years, and it still works great. I'm sure you will love it.

Great article. I read what they said about fish, can't really picture the plank they are speaking of. How do you grill fish?

Actually, what the way they're talking about grilling fish is to use a cedar plank of wood, soaked in water. Place the fillet directly on the plank and cook it over indirect heat, and there is no cover needed.

I cooked some hamburgers and cheeseburgers on the grill today. Fresh by the way. Man were they good.
