Bobby Hill has stooped even lower than he has in the past, taking advantage of a service man fighting for our country in Afghanistan. it's hard to beleive that anyone could even think about something like that. I just hope that all the people that came here to report their troubles with Bobby Hill saves at least someone from being robbed by him.

I inquired Bobby 4 weeks ago about an extreme,but explained I was serving in Afghanistan and would not be home until January.He was all about saving one for me,had to pay in full ofcoarse.I talked to the wife she decided she wanted it now.Heard excuse after excuse through emails and phone conversations,gave him the benefit of the doubt,seen these complaints piling up left and right.Figured the wife was going through enough stress with me over here,we pulled the plug,Filed a complaint with paypal.

It's unbelievable that this crook has been getting away with this deposit scam.

Anyone that has sent payments to Bobby Hill and not received anything need to call his local Police or Sheriff to file a complaint.

He did have time to revamp his website look yesterday and start taking deposits for 2013 animals. If you have not started your legal action against him, get on with it.

So he is now trying to scam more money for tegus he will never ship (or breed, <--- what I am thinking) for "next" years "babies". Disgusting.

Bobby has no shame or morals. He just decided it was easier & more profitable to take money from customers & never send anything. Why change? He can continue with his scamfor years to come, riding on his once good standing. Not enough people research before sending big chunks of money to someone, especially if they are "respected" in the community.

The only way he is going to stop is if enough customers call the police & file with IC3 ( http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx ) and he is stopped legally.

Alright, I officially lost all hope of receiving my tegu. Does anyone have Bobby's address so I can put it in the IC3 report?

I can't believe that he has the nerve to start taking deposits for next year while he has quite a staggering amount of people who are still waiting for their money/tegu.

Also, I know some people have gotten their money back, but my paypal payments are way passed the 45 day mark and not sure how to proceed. Anyone have some ideas on how to get my money back? Thanks

Maybe it's Multiple Personality Disorder. I noticed that he now has his email address listed as [email protected]. The other part of "We", evil bobby, is the one doing the scamming, and using the [email protected] address.

Taking deposits on unlaid eggs from the upcoming 2013 season, while still owing people animals or refunds from 2011 payments. I'd say bobby has officially dropped any pretense of legitimacy. At this point, it's just a numbers game. Get as many suckers as you can, while the getting's good. Which may seem to be supported by another revision he's made to his TOS page. He's now accepting Walmart Money Grams. Doesn't that basically amount to a Western Union transfer?

I'm really happy I signed up for this site and read this thread. I thought $150 shipped for a tegu was too good to be true and boy, was I right. The website even looks shady.

I had 2 payments to bobby totaling 350 for a chacoan....never sent or communicated very well at all..I elevated the disputes with paypal to claims and they said bobby has 10 days to give his side and on the 11th day they make a judgement

well he never did anything and I received a full refund on the 11th day...call and talk to someone at paypal they are pretty cool people

so i urge people if they want their money back elevate to claims from disputes and you'll get refunded in 11 days....not immediate but better than being fully out of a lot of money

Yeah I was happy...for sure the way to go....if bobby does present "evidence" on his side then you can submit your stuff to...

but I even gave bobby the chance the just refund on his own accord..so I canceled the claims again never communicated that he was going to refund me and we can both go our own ways...so i then I called paypal and reissued the claims and 11 days later I had my money back...

why bobby wont do anything is because he even messaged me and said Will I am confused you reissued the claims?...I never replied and got the money back...so for sure the way to go

Since the last flurry of posts on this BOI, I have seen 5+ credible posters on various other tegu forums who have just given up hope after not hearing anything for so long and have purchased tegus elsewhere. They all pretty much look something like "Gave up. Bought another from XXX. If bobby does ends up sending me one then I'll have two tegus or give one to a friend."

I think since Bobby started taking 2013 deposits most people have just moved on. From the sound of it, TeguTerra picked up a lot of business from replacing non-existant varnyard stock.

It may not actively help in getting their money back, but it can go a long way in helping some other potential customers decide against buying into the Varnyard scam. Despite what some people like to think; an appreciable number of whom likely brought their woes here on themselves, or have no actual experience here to back up their ideas, the BOI is here as a positive tool to serve the reptile community. It amounts to so much more than the sometimes necessary "bickering" that some choose to focus on.

He's asking for a money gram knowing there is no recourse for the sender, he is clearly by passing paypal.

It is a good idea for all that were wronged to report it in this thread, if your reading and don't have an account please register and tell your experience with Bobby Hill.

In addition, every state has a consumer fraud division usually through the DA. There are online complaint forms that can be completed.
Sometimes, if there is one small incident there may not be an investigation, but if there are many complaints, that can bring action. So for the sake of your fellow herpers if you have not received your tegu, please consider initiating a complaint form. It is free.

I have still yet to receive an email from him. Even the ones that had my address change updates in them. With my browsing in other forums, I haven't seen anyone who has gotten theirs. Just a few All Americans supposedly shipped out, which is weird, since I am waiting for an All American still. Would be nice to get the $350.00 back by this Saturday. Could buy a tegu at the Sacramento convention with it. Oh well, I hope others are getting some kind of response from Bobby
