    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I just woke up, and I'm up for a whole day of notifying your community. They are welcome to form their opinions and read the vet report too.
 
I am actually quite surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet but has anyone considered that at this point buyer is just using this thread(very inappropriately as it involves an individuals business) to troll?

I just got caught up this morning and while I had my suspicions before, the statement regarding his vet keeping and breeding ball pythons and corns and that being good enough...

I am beginning to think while originally thomas may have been legitimately posting(albeit not helping his case) and once he figured out the hole he dug had reached china, switched to troll mode.

While I like to think that someone wouldn't do that when another's livelihood is at stake, I learned a long time ago that nothing is sacred on the internet.

Listen to me? what the hell are you doing. Your going way out of line doing that. It's really not in your right to do so.
 
When it was your seller's rep, you were rude, throwing around words like chargeback, and really acting in a manner not conducive to dialogue. The seller managed to take the high road despite all of your name calling. You put him through exactly what you are fixing to be put through: a difficult time in your own community.

Turnabout is fair play. What's good for the goose, is good for the gander. The chickens are coming home to roost. OK, I'm out of idioms. Hopefully this is one of those rare occasions when the truth really does hurt (you). If you feel that you've been honest, competent, and professional, I can't imagine why you'd be so against the idea of your peers seeing you in action. Could it be that you're suddenly no so confident in the righteousness of your actions...?
 
My peers are going to want to look at or talk to the vet that is what they would do. They are big on education they would want to talk to someone with an education similar to theres. I will tell you that I treat everyone the same way. I have learned more from uneducated people then I have educated so It don't matter to me.

To the vet. who did not run any tests? Right?

Yeah, I could see how that would be enlightening.
 
Is it possible that this person isn't really Thomas Dorn, phd candidate? I graduated from UT Austin in 2009 with a BS in biology and I would be horrified if my TA didn't know the difference between "there" and "their" or "your" and "you're". The physics dept doesn't play around and their graduate programs are very stringent. I would hate to think that a bright young man's future would be jeopardized by this if he really wasn't involved...

If they actually have that opportunity, which is highly unlikely, it's a shame that they wouldn't know the proper questions to ask:
1) Exactly what background information did you provide the vet.?
2) Why did you choose to go with the most simplistic examination possible?
3) Exactly how diagnostically relevant was said examination, given that it's clearly a neurological issue?
4) What's the likelihood that a "junk" snake would appear perfectly healthy for nearly 3 weeks before doing a 180 degree turn, literally overnight, and directly after you performed a highly stressful and unnecessary procedure (water tubing)?

As far as reptile knowledge goes, that certainly seems to be the case.
 
I believe this guy is trolling. No way a doctoral student in physics is this semi-literate, unless he is deliberately trying to appear that way. The snake likely has some pre-existing neurological problem (spider wobble) that this guy made worse through stress.

At this point, as I expressed a few pages back, this is most likely the case.

Unfortunately, there is a life involved(the state of which we don't currently know) and someone's business. Once all the dust settles, I hope Rob is able to approach this via legal channels for at least the issue of libel.

There is a difference, but there is really no point. You know what it means from the words before. English is the kings language remember that.

What did any of that mean? I honestly hope for the reputation of the University of Texas that you are not who you say you are. If you are Thomas Dorn, I hope you have a good editor for your dissertation and any future papers.

I have received word back from one of the people I wrote denying he is a student of his. I do not know whether that means he is not supervising this person, or whether he is not a student at all.
I believe the person I emailed will look into the general situation, I will continue to research as well.
