In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy RodentPro- Zoonotic disease warning

Doesn't say anything about the facility being burnt down, but all stock was destroyed as was all bedding and all food.

Also, two different claims from the owner on how the disease broke out in the facility.

On articles dated to have originally be posted the same day you have him saying it came from a "sister colony" introduced to his colony and you have him saying it was a wild rodent that got into the facility.

Either way. This was one of the RP's supplemental suppliers and this was where the outbreak occurred.

I had enough of packaging roulette with RP a long time ago. Sometimes they were packed well and clean. Sometimes they were shoved haphazardly into bags with missing limbs with urine stained fur and awful smells.

Sometimes they thawed out just great. Sometimes they had dark black bellies and smelled God awful.

I no longer buy from anyone I cannot verify the source of the rodents from which automatically eliminates RP and their outsourcing and lab surplus animals.

The stories of boas dying from toxic feeders are many and the number of them that were using RP rodents is enough to make me walk away from it. The prices are indeed cheap and great, that is the primary problem.

They also handled this zoonotic disease thing horribly.

After a long hiatus, due to inconsistencies and shortages I ordered from RP last week. I just received 50# of rodents and chicks from RP. Prior I was purchasing from Loxahatchee Rodents. But RP was 50 cents on the dollar even with shipping. That being said, my expectations weren't too high. Happy to report that everything was clean and well packed. Hopefully, the quality and consistency will stay high.

I've received 1215 rats from Rodent Pro in the past 8 months and haven't had any problems at all. I've been ordering from them for 12 years and have been happy with every order.

For what it's worth, I have ordered thousands of mice from RP all through last year and have already made 2 orders this year. Everything I have ordered came very clean and consistant in size as to what I ordered.

Walter
:crazy03:BOUT' CORNS !!

Heck, I ordered what seemed like ZILLIONS of pinky mice from RodentPro to help make ends meet feeding all the baby corns I was dealing with. I was specifying that I get ONLY 1 day old pinks most of the time, and they had no problem sending me what I wanted.

Don't you just love it when someone posts something that is unsubstantiated. (Rhetorical)
In quite a few years, while I have also ordered from others, I have ordered a lot from RP. Still do. Have not had any problems with them or their product/s. Actually, some years ago, there was one problem but it was quickly remedied by RP. That was the only time there was ever a problem.
I have no concerns with continuing to order from them. Neither does my husband who is immunocompromised due to his medications.
The initial issue, which prompted this thread, was taken care of.
Hate seeing this thread come back up (due to something unsubstantiated) because it is a great catalyst for other rodent breeders to badmouth RP, or spread fear once again, or cause problems for RP, giving them opportunity to once again take the advantage of making us consumers having to give an arm, leg, first born child, etc. in order to pay their outrageously hiked up prices.

It is very obvious to me that the falating proponents of RP fall into one of three categories.

1) They have no concern for the health of their animals in favor for on the cheap product.

2.) Have never received a decent rodent order and wouldn't know a good product if they saw one,

3.) They are doing reputation management for RP.

The bitterness of poor quality lingers long after the cheap price savor is long gone.

Be assured that those of you who publicly admit to using the inferior product are on the DO NOT BUY from list of responsible keepers.

Wow..... Are you always so dickish? I have raised and sold my own rodents and I have ordered from many companies from both Canada and the states. I personally have never received a bad order from rp.

Now since you claim that rp's rodents are dangerous to the health of snakes please back that up with some actual evidence and not some far fetched second hand story.

Sorry, but I guess my vocabulary obviously doesn't have the breadth and depth of yours, but I am unfamiliar with the term "falating". Care to enlighten me?

And since I posted a somewhat positive review here recently, please tell me which category of "liar" you are placing me within.

RodentPro dropped their advertising with me on this site because of this thread. I've got no reason whatsoever to falsely side with them concerning anything. I've certainly bought enough pinky mice over the years to have a casual inkling of what is "good" and what is not. And I certainly gave my animals (when I was in that business) the best care I could.

So please, again, enlighten me about what is so obvious to you but not so much for me.

the only thing that is floating is this thread, which keeps floating to the top for no good reason.
The topic issue was resolved already.

Well, aren't you full of assumptions and utter disrespect.
I can assure you that I do not fall into either of those three ... no, wait .... Four categories.
There are several other sellers, yes even more expensive, where I received some nasty rodents.
'Course, Some were on par (quality) with RP. Some others had very good (better) rodents, too, but, alas, those companies no longer exist.
Point is that paying a higher price does not guarantee great quality.
I was honest in describing my experience with RP. Regardless of cheap prices, if all I received from RP was crap, I would never use them again.
Also, "sorry" if it offends you that I dislike those that take advantage of others.

I think it was a misspelled slang term for a certain act as well. I have ordered only once from RodentPro, and that was two weeks ago. I have been monitoring this thread since it began, and also speaking with others who deal with RodentPro. My venomous mentor places orders all the time from them, and I'd seen the quality of rodents before I made my order. I'm not a fangirl of any place, and usually the shipping costs mean I'm not saving anything ordering from RP over buying at my local shows, but when they run a special with flat-rate shipping, I can end up getting a lot more for my dollar, and I will continue to do so, until I have a reason to stop. If I received less than ideal quality rodents, I'd never order again, but I was very pleased.

Our snakes know good product when they eat it! We raise our own food and supplement with Rodent pro. We sometimes order from other companies (sometimes a better deal comes along) and the snakes more often than not will turn their noses up on those rodents. They don't turn their nose up at RP.
