    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Completely unexpected new arrivals. DUW!

We had the unexpected opportunity to acquire some GPTs for a very good price today, that we just couldn't pass up. There were three available, a bigger orange one and two yellows. Originally we were just going to get two of them and I wanted the orange one for sure but then couldn't chose between the two yellows, so my husband said that we should just take them all.

We took a ton of pictures before getting them set up, so here comes a lot! First up is the orange one.

I used my ugly yellow gloves while briefly handling them but they were actually calm and didn't attempt to strike. The yellows were very calm, the orange one does have a bit more of a temper. But even s/he wasn't bad at all.

With the juvies, just be really, really careful with them around handling. What localities are they?

And then the Orange one, unfortunately it was just starting to shed. So I only snapped a few pictures. Will have to get a few more once he's done.

I am going to guess that he meant because with GTPs hatchlings to about one year old have delicate spines, delicate enough that most people don't sex them until they are a year old or more, since doing it when they are younger can cause them spinal kinks. Some breeders/keepers advocate not handling neonates at all, for fear of damaging their spines.

Very beautiful! I've always been tempted to keep a chondro but haven't taken the plunge yet. One of these days I'd like to get one to keep in a naturalistic display enclosure. I almost picked one up at the Daytona Breeder's Expo after I struck out on what I was originally looking for. It's the first time I've ever come home from that show empty handed (my wife was pleased :)

They are great snakes! Little temperamental, but since you keep porphs, you would probably love that with these guys. Definitely recommend getting a hair blow dryer for easy heating of their food though, if you get one. They can be quite picky about the exact temp their prey has to be before they will eat.

Good tip on the hair dryer. Temperamental doesn't bother me...A little challenge keeps things interesting. :)

By the way, the coxi I got from you is doing awesome. My daughter named her "Camaro" after one of my dream cars. See any resemblance?
