In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Terri Sommella Fire and Ice Dragons -- Nightmare

Wow do I wish I had seen this thread a few hours ago. I just paid Terry $500 today for a baby that won't be ready to ship for a few more weeks. She wouldn't send me a pic either...but I figured they have been rated #1 in the hypo citrus color morphs do I thought she was on the up and up and could provide me the yellow dragon I desire. Now I am upset...worried and discusted with myself for not doing more research FIRST on this woman!!!

Damn what a bummer. I hope you get a decent dragon. We all take losses in life. Its just important to learn from it. Thats how we grow as humans. We make mistakes and learn from them so they dont happen agagin. I wish you the best of luck. Please keep us posted once your transaction is fully complete. Hopefully Terri learned a bit and is doing a better job.

She is STILL not giving photos? I find that amazing. Maybe you will have a better experience. You should post your experience, good or bad, here. Also a photo of the baby when you get it. I wonder why she will not give you a photo of your baby. She has photos on her website of dragons she is selling.

Chances are it hasn't hatched yet. She often sells things she doesn't have.

And have you ever wondered about these award winning dragons she touts? What awards? Is there some secret society for scammers that runs dragon beauty pageants or is it just another ploy to sucker newbs into thinking she's got something no one else does. Of course she does, she's a lying sack of fertilizer and a most unpleasant person, but that is common knowledge here on Fauna.

If there is ANY way to get your money back, I'd recommend you do it. There are plenty of good honest breeders out there that would appreciate your business.

This is a snip from her website, evidently Reptile Magazine voted them #1...

So, the mysterious staff, which may be 3 people or even 10, have voted one of their main advertisers number 1? I don't smell any tuna at all. Nope, not a whiff.

I'd also like to know like some verification of this statement, it just smacks of fertilizer.

But, even if it were true, terri is still a TERRIBLE person. That in and of itself should be enough to keep people from giving her their money.

They did indeed win that award. Most of us were in diapers when it happened!:D Reptiles magazine hasn't had a competition like that in years. If it happens again though, I may just have to enter!!

I speak from personal Experience when I say, that if you want a stunning Yellow citrus, you will be vastly disappointed with Fire and Ice. Terri Somella is a huge scammers. I have yet to see anything even remotely close to being in the same quality range as what you will get from other, reputable breeders. Terri doesn't send pictures because for one thing her dragons are at best, drab and lusterless. She is also rumored to have inbred the hell out of her dragons. Frankly I am amazed that she has not been run out of the hobby yet, it saddens me to see she is still in the business of scamming folks. Below is a Male, hypo citrus I purchased from Carolina classic dragons almost 2 years ago. They were kind enough to send me pictures upon request, and post pictures of their adults before I paid them anything.

Wow !!!!! My eyes are squinting from looking at that Dragon it's soooooooo bright !!! I feel like I need to put sunglasses on to see it lol. Beautiful beautiful animal. Sorry this was kinda off topic but just look at that Dragon !!! I had to say something sorry again for being kinda off topic.

As a breeder, I don't understand how someone would sell an EGG & how a customer would buy an EGG.

As a breeder, I know anything can happen to eggs and babies within the first 2 months of life.

This whole practice confuses me.

NEVER BUY AT FIRE AND ICE DRAGONS. FTP

Wow... i purchased a silkie here a little before halloween. he was 6" when i purchased him a month in a half later i receive a baby dragon that would not eat and was no where near 5" and looks nothing like the one i chose. two weeks after he arrived i visit the for sale page and what do i see... the dragon i purchased for $100 more than what i payed. as soon as i brought it up to them they took him of unlike the other dragons that they put sold and leave on the page. the answer they gave me was not even an answer it was " i have no explanation" "adam must of screwed up". please people stay away from this site they are horrible people that dont care for their customers or their animals they just see them as money i love animals we get attached to them that being said hes doing great now and their solution is ship him back to get refund no bitch the money is NOT the problem its how fucking shady you people are. i wish i would have known about this site with the reviews i would have stayed away and i hope you read this before you goto them...worst experience ever i have a total of 9 dragons and i got them from various sites like a1 reptiles, bearded dragon central, and others and they were great from customer service to the dragons..i cant wait for a reptile expo in la hopefully fire and ice will be their because they might have an idea in their head about me because i treat people with respect but in person they will meet me and what the fuck im about...they put my son thru shit by sending such a small dragon that almost died and didnt even give a fuck about it sorry for the language but im pretty fucking mad.

The cursing will, very likely, earn you some infractions.
However, am sorry to hear about your poor experience, with Fire and Ice Dragons, and glad that you shared it on this BOI thread about them.
I, personally, would/will never do business with her/them. Hope many others follow suit.

I noticed the other day they're advertising hard on Facebook now. Paid advertising. Makes me cringe every time it pops up on my News Feed.

How is this woman still in business???
Well, if her ads are now popping up in FB feeds and people don't know to do their research here on Fauna then they wouldn't know there's a problem. There's not much about her on the various FB reptile feedback groups - which is a hint to folks who have had unpleasant dealings with her.

Faithful followers, un-knowledgeable customers ...

This is me right now. I typed into google "bearded dragon breeders" thinking the top result couldn't possibly be a bad person.

Now I am sitting here, $215 dollars missing and "too cold to ship". She told me that next week they could ship or she could make me sign a waiver saying that if the dragon comes dead it is my fault, and pay extra for "special shipping", but I looked at the temps they are similar to this weeks, so I'm sure she would say the same thing. Then I stumbled upon these terrible terrible reviews and horror stories which I am now a part of.

I asked for a refund and she posted her policy. I now opened a dispute with my bank on the matter, and also made a thread on reddit in the legal section asking if I would win, only to be told that her policy is legal and I could be the one brought in by her to civil court. How can I not be legally allowed a refund on something I haven't even received yet.. Has anyone else done this and won their dispute? I'm very scared now.
