I've got a situation with a guy named dave goyeau, two months ago we made a trade, I gave him a high white sugar female with a nice ringer for a caramel albino female. About a week after the trade was made I'd been noticing the snake was off, I likened it to the spider wobble, so I emailed him trying to setup a meet so I could try to get a read off him to see if he knew about it or not. I got no reply, it felt fishy to me because just a week prior that was the email address he used to contact me but I gave him the benefit of the doubt because I have done a couple other deals with him and I thought he was a good guy, boy was I wrong!
About a month after the deal I'd had enough, after looking at this snake once a day for a month I knew something was off with it and he had to have known. I sent him another email, this time asking him about the condition of the snake, I didn't accuse him of anything shady I just flat out said this snake is off and I'd like to trade back or something but I don't want his "off" snake, again I got no reply!
It kind of hit me, he knew and didn't plan on doing anything to rectify the situation!!
We are now two months from the day we traded and I'm just sick of looking at this freakshow snake he gave me so I send one last email, this time calling him out on knowing the snake was off and not disclosing it to me before the deal, again no reply!
This doesn't sit well with me, I have his address but know if i just show up it could get physical and I don't wanna hurt the little fella I just want him to make it right! So I searched Facebook and found him so I sent him a message on there, finally he responds with, why is this the first I'm hearing of this? I tell him about the emails I sent and the condition of the snake he gave me telling him I don't want it and that I'm open to any option he can come up with to make it right. My first choice would have been to just trade back snakes but he tells me the sugar is gone, so I ask what he got for it I'd take payments equal to the amount, at this point I'm still being calm with him trying to work it out privately, he tells me he gave it away, sure! He also said I could see if you got a hold of me the day of or next day he maybe would have done something but too much time had passed! Nice eh? 24 hour warranty that's fantastic!
Then he slips up, he tells me that I knew the condition because he told me, which he did not but now I know he knew before the deal and in my eyes that makes him a scammer!
Talks quickly broke down between us, he claims I threatened him and says he will call the police on me, I got beligerant telling him this isn't over make it right or I go public. He told me do what I gotta do to him the deal is done!
I have placed ads trying to sell the snake, with his name in them just trying to let people know how he does business!
This entire situation could have been avoided had he mention the snake was "off", had he told me there is no way I would have taken it, he probably knew that which is why he didnt! Also I gave him multiple options and chances to make this right before putting it out in the public for everyone to see, he didn't care to try to fix it with me or that I tell people he screwed me!
DO NOT trust dave, I don't recommend dealing with him at all, unless all you want is a 24 hour warranty on an animal that can live for 20+ years!
This is not an issue of improper husbandry, this snake has a neurological issue that I was not made aware of prior to our trade and I feel he should have and even though he didn't I gave him chances to make it right but he doesn't care about that, great way to do business!
