How does that prove it's not fake? For all we know you could have posted that ad in another attempt to scam someone by selling them a fake ring.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I was referring to post #242. That's not my eBay account he's referencing. I guess the good Doctor exposed his own fraud -- so much for being his wedding ring. Dr. Brunner appears to be an eBay dealer of cheap trinkets.

That DOES NOT mean that he faked vet bills or participated in collusion with the clinic to defraud you.
It COULD mean that a different animal died and he is using that animal's proof of death in a dishonest way. Ever think of that?
Yes, that would still leave him as a scammer, but that isn't the point. The POINT, is that you become condescending whenever someone posts anything that doesn't fit with your predetermined narrative.

No you won't "split" the $1300 with him. You had every opportunity to return the animal at first sign of illness, but you chose to keep the animal.
You Owe him $1300. You will pay him $1300 or this really will be a never ending thread, and it will come up every time someone googles you.

Beau -- read my previous response. Any "condescending" attitude I have is merely a result of the frustration I have felt from being scammed by Dr. Brunner. Don't take it personally, as I have nothing against you or any of the other community members that have participated in this thread.
Did you try contacting the vet office to verify the tortoise's death?

I addressed this earlier; most vets will not give out customer or patient information without a signed release. I had to sign one for my vet when I wanted records sent to an attorney earlier this year.

Ici if the ring is collateral you could go to 47th street and sell it. That is what collateral is for. At least you'd get an idea of its value.
